Don't Apologize My Love, You and Your Health Are Top Priority 

Chapter 58

Maui's POV

  An hour later...

   Moana and I lie side by side in bed, panting and trying to catch our breath. I thought the sex we had before our wedding was intense, but this surpassed that by miles. Moana grins at me and I grin back. "You know Moana, I think we have a serious problem." She raises an eyebrow. "You and I are sex animals. When we go at it, we really go at it...." She giggles and blushes. "I know Maui. It's partly my fault. Ever since we did it for the first time, I've been craving you more and more. But it's also your fault for being so darn good at it. Gosh Maui." I find myself going beet red. "I'll try to control my hormones a bit. It's pretty hard though considering I'm married to you."   

     Moana looks at me curiously. "What do you mean Maui? I may be good, but there are women far more powerful and glamorous than I." My heart breaks at those words. Moana sounds just like me sometimes and that always worries me. I don't want her to ever view herself as poorly as I do. "Moana, you're not just good, you're the best. I mean every word of what I said in our vows. There's one thing you and I both need to work on in our marriage, and that is we need to help one another view ourselves more positively." She nods in agreement and leans her head into my shoulder. I put my arm around her and kiss her on the forehead. "You know what'll brighten the mood up, going out to explore the island." I climb out of bed and reach for Moana's hand. "What do you say my love, are you ready for an adventure?" She tries to be serious but cracks an adorable smile. "I'm always ready for an adventure Maui." 

  15 minutes later...

 Moana and I are fully dressed and ready to explore the island. We take the elevator down and dash outside quickly. We're met with an endless amount of activities to participate in and things to see. We could go swimming, sailing, surfing, eat quality food, drink at the bar, go dancing, go hiking, and more. "Well Moana, we have a ton of options. I'm willing to go along with whatever you want to do. Quite frankly, most of them sound like fun." She bites her lip and takes a moment to think. "How about we go for a swim? As we were sailing into Oahu, I saw a small cliff with a waterfall and a swimming area." I smile. "That sounds perfect Moana. You lead the way." 

    Moana and I shapeshift into hawk form as we can get up the cliff quicker. We could have hiked to get some exercise, but it's ninety degrees out and neither us like to hike in extreme heat unless it's in a dire situation such as saving an island. 

  We manage to get to the top of the cliff in ten minutes. Moana and I shift back into our normal forms. I land on my feet but Moana falls to the ground with a thud. Panic arises within me when Moana's sitting on the ground holding her head in her hands. I sit down on the ground beside her and hold her in my arms. "Moana, are you okay?" She begins to cry. "My head really hurts Maui." I try not to cry myself. I hate seeing Moana in any amount of pain. Especially the physical kind. When she's in the physical kind of pain, she sounds like a helpless child who needs her mother. The most painful part about that is that Moana no longer has her mother in her life. 

  I use my healing powers to heal the slight scab forming at Moana's head, but the extreme aching is going to remain in effect for at least a few hours. "Love, I think you should get some rest." She wipes the stray tears away. "But Maui, it's our honeymoon. I don't want a stupid headache of mine to ruin it. You worked so hard to plan this and put a lot of money into it." I place a finger to her lips. "How much money I put into our honeymoon isn't important. You and your health are the most important things to me. We'll rest here on this nice comfortable spot of grass for a few hours and if you're feeling up to it later, then we can go for a swim. Does that sound good?" She nods into my shoulder and falls asleep instantly. I stare at her concerningly for a bit before falling asleep myself.
