My Crazy But Wonderful Family Is Everything To Me

Chapter 106

Lana's POV

 That evening... 

   I woke up from my nap about ten minutes ago and am eating supper with my parents and great grandma Tala. Supper tonight consists of fruit salad, ham and cheese sandwiches, and mashed potatoes. All of which are an interesting, but satisfying combination of food. Though as I eat, I can't help but notice my parents' slightly odd behavior. My mother looks worn out while my father seems somewhat nervous. I look at great grandma Tala and mouth "What's wrong with them?" She shrugs her shoulders and mouths "Beats me. Why don't you ask them?" I sigh and mouth back an "Okay." 

   "Mom, dad, what's wrong? You both are acting really weird. Please don't try to tell me otherwise." My dad is the first one to speak up. "Your mother is just tired and slightly in awe of the stupid thing that I did this afternoon." I raise an eyebrow. "And just what was the stupid thing that you did dad?" My parents look at each other hesitantly, as if silently debating whether or not they should tell me. My mother then sighs. "Your father went to Bane's hut in the village, beat him up, and threatened him. Then while you were sleeping, his parents came over to try to mouth us off, but your father owned them, causing them to think twice and run back where they came from." 

     I look at my dad in shock. "Dad, why did you do that?" He gives me a small smile. "Even though you're sixteen now, you're still my little girl. I love you so much and you don't deserve to get treated that way by anyone, especially by some stupid boy. The little twerp had it coming." I go across the table and hug him. "You didn't have to go through all of that trouble for me, though I do appreciate it." He hugs me back and kisses me on the cheek. "I'd do anything for Lana." "I love you dad." I then turn my attention to my mom. "I love you too mom." My mom smiles at me and hugs me as well, saying "I love you more Lana." I then say "I love you" to great grandma Tala so she doesn't fell left out of the loop. Despite my family being crazy sometimes, they really are everything to me. I wouldn't trade my parents and Tala for the world. They're way too important to me.
