I'm Just A Big Dork 

Chapter 24

Maui's POV

The next day...

  So I've been doing a lot of thinking about where we should head to all night and I've come to a decision that both Moana and I can agree on. I'm going to take us to my island. Not only is it a wonderful place to live, but I want to show Moana where I grew up and have learn a little bit more about me that I tend to keep private from most people. Moana's just waking up right now so I want to give her a few minutes before I tell her this. 

5 minutes later...

   Moana's alert enough to have a proper conversation with. I bend down and kiss her. "Good morning my love. How'd you sleep?" She smiles a small smile for the first time since we set out  from Montonui. It's a really small smile, but I'll take it. Hopefully I can do something to brighten it. Maybe this news will do just that. "I surprisingly slept well. How'd you sleep Maui?" I laugh. "I didn't sleep. I've been up thinking." She gasps. "Maui, get some sleep right now." I wave her worry away. "I'm fine for now. I'll let you know when I've hit the wall. Anyways what I spent the night thinking about is where we should go and I came to a decision a couple of hours ago." She looks at me eagerly but tries to hide her eagerness. "And just where are we heading to?" I smile. "Why to my island of course." 

    Moana jumps up and down, nearly knocking the boat sideways. When she continues to do it, I swing her over my shoulder. "Maui, put me down this instant or else." I laugh. "Or else what princess?" She groans. "You know I hate when you call me that." "Well I'll keep calling you that unless you promise not to keep rocking the boat. I know you're excited love, but I'm not really up for going for a swim right now." She sighs that cute sigh of hers. "Fine I'll stop. I'm just so happy that I'm finally going to be able to see more of your island besides the shore of it. Plus, you're allowing to learn a little bit more about you and where you grew up. It means a lot to me that you want to show me that part of yourself." I blush. "Well, you've done so much for me and shown me all of these different parts of you, I figured it was time to do the same. I let my ego get the best of me for far too long. That's about to change here and now."

      Moana strokes my chest nearly causing me to fall to my knees at her touch. Her touch is delicate yet so passionately. I try to gather my next thoughts, but I'm fumbling for them in my mind. I take a breath before speaking again. "A---nnn----yyyyways, we're another two days out from my island. You'll know it when you see it because it has several hooks like mine engraved in the sand. If we happen to arrive there during the night, the constellation of my hook will be able to point it out as well." Moana giggles. "Sounds good Maui. By the way, cute stutter. I never knew you had one." I hold my head in my hands and blush. "I never had one until I met you. I try to be a cool guy around you, but I'm just a big dork." She squeezes my cheek and kisses them both. "Yes, but you're my big dork." I peck her on the lips. Forever and always my love."
