Chapter 50

Moana's POV

  The next day...

    Gramma Tala and I are sitting in the kitchen discussing wedding arrangements. Maui's still asleep so we're trying not to be too loud. Besides, he's not really missing out on much. We're just starting on the wedding plans. I asked Tala if she would help me plan it last night and she nearly jumped for joy at the opportunity. I took her actions as a yes and thus it was official that she's our wedding planner. As for right now, we're just discussing the basics such as what flowers we should have, the beach venue that Maui and I both want, and a couple of different catering options. 

     I honestly never knew there was so much to wedding planning. I just thought you picked a day and venue that was it. Boy was I wrong. There's a lot more to it than that. You have to discuss every little detail and make all of these arrangements weeks in advance. I'm going to wait until Maui's awake to discuss the major things. I can feel myself tensing up and Gramma Tala notices. She gets up, walks around the table, and begins to massage me. "Relax babygirl. A wedding is supposed to be exciting, not stressful. This is the biggest day of your life. It only comes around once so you want to enjoy every minute of it. The same goes for Maui. I don't want him freaking out over anything either. Promise me you'll try to keep the stress to a minimum." I sigh. "I promise I'll try my best to keep the stress to a minimum." She smiles and lets go of me. "Good. Anyways, I hope Maui wakes up in a little while. We have a lot to discuss." I nod in agreement. 

An hour later...

 Maui finally rolls out of bed. I smirk at him when he comes our way. He smiles groggily and pecks me on the lips. "I'm sorry I slept in so late Moana." I smile. "It's okay Maui. After all, we danced the night away." He laughs. "Yeah, that we certainly did. Anyways, I'm going to freshen up real quick and then I'll join you guys. I'm assuming you're discussing wedding plans?" Gramma and I nod in unison. 

 10 minutes later...

   Maui comes out of the bathroom and joins us at the kitchen table. "So what have we decided on so far ladies?" I blush at him calling us ladies. "Well Maui, so far we've decided on roses for flowers, the venue of the wedding being a beach, and a couple of caterers to chose from." "That's a good start. Though I have great idea for the venue. It's on a beach basically." I motion for him to tell us. "How about the island of Te Fiti?" "The island of Te Fiti" I say to myself with a smile. "That sounds perfect Maui. Now what about food?" He grins. "I'm personally feeling a mix of Italian and Mexican food. Italian being your favorite and Mexican being mine. This is our special day so why not have food and things that we both love." I grin back. "You always say the perfect things Maui. Now here's my last question for now because I don't want to be too swamped. When do you want the wedding to be? I was thinking three weeks from today." He bends down and kisses me on the cheek. "Three weeks from today sounds good to me." I smile. "Alright, three weeks from today it is." I squeal and Maui laughs. I throw my arms around him. "I can't wait to marry you Maui." "I can't wait to marry you either Moana."
