Spotlight's POV
I was scared.
It was safe to fully admit to myself that I had a crush on Blackout *and* Forestra. And if the two of them were going off through a portal, Rocksworth included, I had every right to be worried.
What if something happened to them and they were sliced into oblivion?
I didn't want to think about it. I really wouldn't like it if that happened to me.
"Feliz," I called.
"Make sure they're safe, okay? If they aren't..."
Feliz glared at me.
"They'll be alright, don't worry about it."
"When will they come back?"
Feliz looked up into the trees, her gaze focusing on something. I followed suit. Nothing was there.
"What are you looking at?"
"I'm looking at the trees. Why wouldn't you want to look at the trees?"
"You kidding? I look at trees all the time."
"But did you ever actually look at the trees?" Feliz asked me with a mystical grin.
I frowned.
"We're in a forest. Everywhere I look, I see---"
"You see. You see, but you don't truly look."
"How do I do that?"
Feliz chuckled.
"Take it all in. Absorb it. For you may be having your last moments. So look at the trees."
I was getting agitated.
What was Feliz trying to tell me?
"You gonna kill me or something?"
"No. If you look at the trees, nature, everything, you'll become different. You'll see things in a new way. Look at how the leaves fall. Look at how they rot on the soil. Look at how the trees bloom once more. Then, the cycle repeats. There is a cycle in nature. Do you realize that?"
"Yes. Now can-"
"I must rest," Feliz cut me off.
"I will leave the portal open for Blackout, Rocksworth, and Forestra to make their way back. If anything goes wrong, tell me immediately."

Blackout's POV
I clutched the radio, making my way back to the portal, Forestra and Rocksworth in tow.
Did I really trust myself enough to jump back in?
It would be hard to get back the hard way, but maybe all we needed to do was to jump back through.
I beckoned the two of them to come near me.
"Let's go."
I readied myself in front of it, feeling anxiety flood in me.
It'll be alright. You did this once; you can definitely do it again.
I closed my eyes and nodded to myself.
It'd all turn out okay.
"Now."
I launched myself into the portal. As I entered, I felt something...
An uneasiness in the air and every particle of my being...
We were being held back, as I found myself hanging in the emptiness. The air began vibrating, a dull tremor in every part of this endless dimension around us.
