Spotlight's POV

This is not the end! Think of your family and friends!

A thousand thoughts must have been running through my head as Eon mouthed those words.

She was right.

I didn't want to leave my family and friends in despair.

I looked straight at Chaot, a million more thoughts ringing in my ears.

All I knew was that she was immortal.

No matter what we did, we couldn't kill her.

But maybe it was worth a try to just defeat her.

Maybe I could use words to avert the execution.

But now wasn't a good time.

I had to fight.

"Shut up, you fat sack of apples!" I screamed, cutting off Chaot's little speech.

She looked at me with shock as I jumped off of the stage, straining to get the bands off, the others following suit.

I pulled as hard as I could before I heard them snap. My arms flew backward due to the force of snapping the ropes, and I immediately found a monster closing in on me. I forced my hands forward, forming a light orb and sending it at the monster. Dust soared through the air. I dove out of the way.

"Kill them at all costs!" Chaot roared.

"Blow the roof off of the place if you have to!"

She then took off into the air, skimming the ceiling of the Arena. Maia soared into the air as well, charging at Chaot.

Cyclone went straight for the exit in a few seconds, Arcmagos and Pyroclast tried downing each monster that approached them, Blackout tried pulling me outside, and Eon sprinted toward me, while I ran with Blackout desperately.

I shot light at every monster we came across. Some of their actions were slowed, but others had no effect. I spun around and sent a larger ball of light behind me. It whizzed past Eon and smashed into the monsters. Dust filled the room.

I looked up at Maia, who looked like she was nimbly fist-fighting Chaot in midair. From the looks of it, Chaot had the upper hand, as she was able to land a few hard blows onto Maia. I couldn't do much, but I had one crazy idea.

Blow the roof off if you have to!

And that was what I was going to do.

"Guys!" I shouted.

"Get out! And hurry!"

Arcmagos and Pyroclast got my cue and he teleported the two of them out of the building.

Blackout disappeared into dark mist, which wafted out the door.

Maia glanced at me and nodded. She covered herself with her wings, like a blanket. Chaot sent a punch her way, but the girl barely missed it as she was falling down to the ground. At the last second, Maia unfurled her wings like a parachute. She slowly descended to the ground, retracted her wings, and sprinted out the door.

Chaot looked maliciously at me.

"Fine, then. If those five are going to be tough, I'll get you two instead."

I lightly swatted Eon in the shoulder, signaling her to escape. She got it and started running at the door.

Chaot's eyes followed her, and I panicked.
