How long has it been since then? I couldn't remember anymore...
Why? Why am I back here? I thought I died because of her the last time... so why?
Why? Why are they alive? Why is the world the way it once was? All I seem to remember is that the world was broken by that madwoman... so why?
Oh, you. Why are you acting like death itself? At least I did not take your company yet.
Shut up, Reaper.
You know you're stuck in this void for eternity. Literally. That, and you can't really... stay dead now, can you?
Yes, yes, I know. But for now, just stop speaking to me.
Fine, then. If you'll stay that grumpy, so be it.
Ah, yes. Where did I stop?
So... Alpha's back to the way it was before she came along. It's strange, though. I don't remember her intervening before...
How are they, you ask?
Oh, yeah. They're just fine... quite surprisingly for a grim world.
Forestra Biospirit is just fine. She's currently working on her dream of becoming a psychiatrist. Quite fitting, if you ask me... She actually remembers dying by her friends' hands, surprisingly. Normally, she wouldn't, but I believe this is for the best. In fact, she even has a romance with Arcmagos Spellbinder, another deviation. She had come to terms with her suicidal tendencies by now, thankfully. Blackout Nightsoul is still watching over her, as she knows how deep into despair that girl could fall... She did not let the world's darkness take away her kindness.
Arcmagos Spellbinder is just fine. He's on his way to becoming a great orator. He even works as a motivational speaker sometimes. He was able to overcome the pain that came with being partially responsible for Forestra Biospirit's previous death. Speaking of her, he has a blooming romance with the girl. Quite a deviation. He's still training his physical prowess with Cyclone Thunderstrike... quite ironic, as it normally goes the other way. But still, he retained his integrity, in spite of what happened.
Pyroclast Emberflare is just fine. She's working her way up to Internet fame. Heh, definitely something she would do. At least she recovered from having killed Riverflow Oceanhorn... more or less. She's still a bit of a mood swinger... but knowing her, that wouldn't even stop her from forming a close relationship with him. Another deviation. Her usually rocky friendship with Rocksworth Earthborn is improving, too. She never lost hope for her passions.
Riverflow Oceanhorn is just fine. Last time I checked, he's studying Robotics and excelling at it. Even I'm a bit jealous... just kidding. That, and he plays the guitar as a pastime. He says he's terrible at that, but Pyroclast Emberflare says otherwise. In fact, there were several times in which they collaborated for her performances. He still maintained his harmony with himself, in spite of how chaotic life could be.
Cyclone Thunderstrike is just fine. As of now, he's one of the greatest sportsmen in the country. How enviable... just joking. Anyway, he's still as feisty as ever. Then again, he has to, given his profession. He had already come to terms with his family's death, but it still affects him to this day. However, that didn't really stop him from pursuing a relationship with Rocksworth Earthborn. His sense of justice prevailed in such an unfair world.
Rocksworth Earthborn is just fine. She's one of the most famous lawyers in the country, and it seems that the government hired her as their corporate lawyer... which makes her as busy as ever. Not that it stopped her from dating Cyclone Thunderstrike. I honestly find them cute... She's still in good terms with Pyroclast Emberflare - a deviation from how I remember things going. Her heart stayed courageous.
Spotlight Solarheart is just fine. He'd always wanted to be a doctor; he was able to do so, and he's now one of the most successful in the country. If you're going to ask me, he and Blackout Nightsoul used to be in love with each other, but it did not feel right for them, so the stopped. They are more like siblings now... just like I remember... not that I'm implying anything, of course! Anyway, he's still training under Cyclone Thunderstrike... Nonetheless, he still held on to his faith.
Blackout Nightsoul is just fine. She is a great scientist, if I do say so myself. That's something, given the fact that I am one myself. Her field? I cannot recall much of the specifics, but I know her focus is on technology. Anyway, as I said, she and Spotlight Solarheart are like siblings again, her (past) crush on him notwithstanding. Ditto for Forestra Biospirit. As always, she's still a joker, much to everybody else's chagrin. If that sounds strange, yes, she really IS a joker; it probably wasn't apparent, given what happened. Speaking of which, she became much wiser.
Eon Aeternum is just fine. Her brother is with her again. She was so joyous the moment they laid eyes on each other. As I speak, she's writing a chronicle of Chaot's Tale. Why is she doing this? In her words, "I don't want to forget. After all, it's a shame if one of the greatest stories in history will never be told. But... I feel like I'm forgetting something important..." She doesn't want this to be lost in history. She's also trying to write a chronicle of Delta's Tale, or should I say, the Tale of Mystery. You'll know in the next book, most likely... She managed to stay loyal to her friends.
Mae Terado is just fine. She may be dead for good, but that doesn't mean her soul is. Right now, she's stuck in the void with me. If you're wondering why she's here while the others are alive and kicking, I'll explain. Every person who died as a consequence of Chaot's actions was given a chance to return to life, as per the Reaper. Mae refused, because in her own words, "My part is done. What else can I do?" That doesn't stop her from being happy for the rest, though.
Marco Jordan, Berniel Asis and Colin Bautista are just fine. Yes, I'm aware of their existence, because we were old friends... they're ancient beings, remember? And I was essentially an ethereal being for most of my life, after I fell... Anyway, they're outright ecstatic regarding the turn of events. "I knew they could do it," they would say.
Mikaela Astralis... what even happened to her? At least the being known as Chaot is gone now... or so I hope. I could still feel her presence somewhere, but instead of a feeling of evil, I could sense kindness from her. She's not quite visible in the physical plane, but the others still remember her. In fact, they feel sorry for her, knowing what she had been through. It must be a result of being stuck inside her for a while...
I remember the Tale of Chaos, but something... doesn't feel right.
It's like it's incomplete...
And why do I feel like something worse is to come...?
This is ULTIMA, signing out.
