£27: A Hybrid's Battle {Part Two}

Mitch's Pov

For the longest period of time, Jason and Enderlox just stood there, staring at each other. Jason had a few scuff marks, and blood running down his forehead.  Enderlox was more beat up than Jason was. There was a deep cut in his left hip, and multiple other wounds.

I had no idea what was going on. They both were just silent, staring at each other. Even the fight with Dawn stopped. The tension in the air suddenly spiked up. Almost instantly, they both were gone. It took me a few seconds to realize they took the fight high up in the sky. Before I had the chance to fly up after them, a voice in my head interrupted me.

Mitch, I need you to stop what it is you're doing and come to the library now.

I growled as I heard Seto's voice in my head. It seemed as though whenever I went to do something he'd call for my help. I sighed, mentally slapping myself for thinking so rudely.

"I'm on my way."

Jason's Pov

"You are no match for me Jason! Stop fighting back and accept your fate!" Enderlox shouted. I only was paying partial attention to him though. Something happened while I was in the Nether. No, I wasn't really in the Nether... what was it?

Enderlox was still shouting at me, but I drowned him out again. I saw a bright purple light coming my way.

It's happening again... Whats going on? Someone is in front of me... Mitch? He's talking to me... why is he in his hybrid form?

"Jason, it's okay. Let's just go back." I found myself walking out of smoke, towards him. As I did so, his eyes widened and he began to back away.

Then I was with Enderlox again. My hand had a small stinging feeling in it, and when I looked at Enderlox, his face was surprised and a bit fearful. I flew backwards a bit.

What's making him scared?

Enderlox's Pov

I am a powerful being...but I feel strange. I am fearing the one who is standing in front of me. I tried to attack him with an ender blast, when the expression on his face changed. His pupils immediately were gone, and he held out his hand, basically catching my attack. Then they went back to sky blue, confused and fearful.

"What the hell are you doing to him?!" Deadlox yelled at me. I growled.

I'm not doing anything you fool! You clearly aren't reading the signs... as much as I want to say it's not possible, I might not be the only creature fighting in a mortals body...

"What are you trying to say?"

This kid... we have to get rid of him right now.

"What?! I won't let you touch Jason! He's too innocent to be a threat! No way!"

Listen, I was planning on just knocking him out, but now he's not just a danger to me, he's a danger to you and your pitful friends! Notch must have fucked up, this kid will become a threat to him if he isn't stopped.

"I won't let you kill Jason!"

Look! If he isn't stopped now, he may never be. It was different with me and you, I was unaware that you were coming to the end, but Jason is a Wither hybrid. Chances are, the Wither knows about Jason, and she's already using him. You are suffering, and I know that. He will suffer more than you will unless you let me stop him! The Wither may be a lot smaller than I am, but if she wants to, she can reach a power level that not even I can reach... if you just let me have full control over your body, I can find a way to overpower her.

He was silent for a while.

".......only on one condition. You don't kill him, find a way to just stop whatever is happening. If I see you going for a kill for even a second, I'm going to stop."

It's not that simple... but if I can put him into an immobile state, it might work... fine, but this is the only time I will cooperate with you.

"Fine. Just be gentle on him..."

No promises.

I could immediately feel the control in body, and Jason seemed to see that as well, for he backed away.

"This will be your downfall." As I said that, the look on his face changed from fear to confidence, the pupils going away once more.

"We'll see about that..."
