Third Person POV again

"You look upset," Gabriel observes as Lucifer walks into the room. Everyone else has disappeared to their rooms, and Michael is in Heaven for at least the night, so it's just Lucifer, Gabriel, Castiel, Jesse, Macie, and Alexis in the living room. The latter three are watching Supernatural once again, which is paused when Lucifer appears.
"No, I'm not upset," Lucifer says as he sits down on the floor.
"Gotta agree with Gabriel here," Macie says.
"You're seeing things," Lucifer replies.
"You're lying to me and it's mean!" Macie whines.
"I'm the devil. Lying is sort of in my job description."
"So there is something wrong!" Gabriel says victoriously.
"I never said that."
"No, but you implied it heavier than an elephant."
"Guys, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Lucifer asks.
"I don't know. That's what you're supposed to tell us," Gabriel replies.
"But I can't tell you what's wrong because there's nothing wrong."
"Stop lying," Macie says. "You're teaching Alexis bad habits."
"Alexis can't even understand English," Lucifer reminds her. "And I'm not lying."
"You lied again!" Gabriel accuses him.
"Oh my gosh," Lucifer groans. He's always careful not to say "oh my god," not because the commandments say not to but because he doesn't like to mention his father.
"I know there's something bugging you," Gabriel says. "Why won't you tell us?"
"Because there isn't."
This isn't true, though. It's not because of Bailey's ex; he trusts Bailey. It's just seeing his father again. He hates seeing the man, and he hates the body he chooses to appear in. He just hates God's visits in general.
"We all know you're lying," Gabriel says. "I bet even Jesse knows you're lying."
Everyone turns to Jesse, which was Gabriel's goal. He feels bad that Jesse is never involved in their conversations, so he'll drag Jesse in whether he wants to or not.
"How would I know?" Jesse asks. "I basically just met you."
"Okay, touché," Gabriel agrees. "I bet Castiel knows you're lying."
"It's a rare moment where he tells the truth near me," Castiel replies.
"That's actually pretty true," Lucifer agrees.
"Okay, but I know you're lying and Macie knows you're lying so stop lying and tell us what's wrong or I will get Michael down here and he will force it out of you," Gabriel threatens.
"Seriously, there's nothing for you to freak out about," Lucifer assures them. This one is true; there's no reason for them to freak out about his distrust of his father.
"I'm calling Michael," Gabriel announces, ignoring Lucifer as he insists that is not necessary.
"I have literally been gone less than ten minutes," Michael says as he appears. "Why do you need me back here already?"
"Lucifer's lying to us and we need you to force him to tell us the truth!" Gabriel tells him.
"Gabriel is being annoying and you need to make him stop!" Lucifer counters.
"Lucifer always lies to us," Michael reminds Gabriel. "It's his thing."
"I don't care! Make it stop!" Gabriel whines.
"I can't believe this is why you wanted me to come," Michael says, rolling his eyes.
"I told him not to make you," Lucifer says defensively.
"And I told you not to lie to me!" Gabriel retorts.
"I'm not lying to you!" Lucifer insists.
"What did he possibly lie about?" Michael asks.
"He said he was fine," Gabriel answers.
"Oh. Yeah, you're lying," Michael says to Lucifer. "You're never fine."
"Yeah, exactly. I'm never fine, so I'm so used to things being not fine that things being not fine is fine."
"What does that even mean?" Gabriel asks, laughing.
"It's Lucifer. Don't question it," Michael replies.
"What not fine thing is making your not fine life seem fine right now?" Macie asks.
"Nothing."
"Stop lying to us!" Gabriel whines.
"But I like lying to you," Lucifer replies.
"So you are lying to us!" Gabriel says victoriously.
"Of course. Michael's right. I always lie to you guys."
"Then what's bugging you?" Michael asks.
"Nothing."
"Stop lying!" Gabriel whines.
"Haven't we already established that Lucifer enjoys lying to us?" Castiel asks.
"Yes, we have," Lucifer replies. "Thank you for that revolutionizing statement."
"He's on your side for this," Gabriel observes. "You should be thanking him, not being a bitch."
"I am a bitch. It's my thing."
"And Castiel's thing is to side against you, but he chose your side instead," Michael reminds him. "So maybe you should stop doing your thing because Castiel is stopping doing his thing."
"No, I'm just sick of your arguing," Castiel says. "I'm not siding with anyone. I don't care that Lucifer is lying, or that he has problems, and I don't particularly want to know what those problems are because I don't care."
"Damn. Sassy Cassy," Macie laughs.
"Only with your dad," Gabriel replies.
"So is this not good natured fun?" Macie asks.
"No," Castiel and Lucifer reply in unison.
"Oh."
"Back on topic before you two decide to rip each other's throats out," Gabriel interrupts, "Lucifer, what's bugging ya?"
"Nothing."
"Why won't you tell us?" Gabriel whines. "You're supposed to tell us stuff! We're your brothers!"
"Only two people here are my brothers, so I don't know what you're talking about," Lucifer replies.
"There are three..." Michael says in confusion.
"Nope. Just you and Gabriel," Lucifer says. It's not to piss off Castiel-neither of them value their brotherly relationship, and they prefer to keep the word away from them. The only time Lucifer calls Castiel his brother is to annoy him.
"Okay, seriously, guys. Stop fighting," Gabriel instructs them. "I thought you guys were finally making up. You barely argued for months. What's going on now?"
"Lucifer stopped picking fights, so I did, too," Castiel replies. "When he started again, I did as well."
"Then why did you stop?" Gabriel asks Lucifer. "And why'd you have to start again?"
"Because I did and because it's fun," Lucifer replies.
There's a real reason for it, but Lucifer doesn't tell them. He stopped because Bailey asked him to. It was one of the last things she said to him before she was going to leave, before she became a permanent member of the group. She asked him to lay off Castiel and Rob, and he did. Mostly, anyway. But he was right about Rob. He never should have forgiven him, and it caused him a whole lot of hell for doing it. He isn't really excited about forgiving anyone else at the moment.
No one asks Lucifer for further clarification on anything he said. By this point, they've all decided that Lucifer is in one of his stubborn moods, and that asking anything from him is completely pointless. And they couldn't be more right.
