A/N Did I ever say how long until Christmas? Screw it. Let's say Christmas is about a week later. For those who read this late, it's currently the end of February as I write this, so you already know this isn't just a Christmas special.

"Merry Christmas," I greet everyone who is already awake with a tired smile on Christmas morning.
"Merry Christmas," Jared, Gabriel, Michael, Alexis, Macie, Jesse, and Castiel all reply in unison.
I give the one person who didn't respond a puzzled look. "What, no 'Merry Christmas' from my boyfriend?" I tease.
"I hate Christmas," he replies. "The only holiday I'll celebrate this month is New Years Eve."
"You're being a real Scrooge right now," I pout.
"You're talking to the literal devil," he reminds me. "This isn't exactly my type of holiday."
"Oh, true," I agree. "But for the rest of us, it's supposed to be a super happy day, and you're not allowed to ruin it."
"I won't," he assures me. "I won't! No, I don't! Okay, there was once, but that's it. I don't — No, I don't!"
"What's happening right now?" I ask.
Suddenly, Mark Pellegrino appears, sitting on the floor casually. "I'm bugging your angel. Merry Christmas!"
I laugh. "Merry Christmas." I walk up to Lucifer and add, "And leave my boyfriend alone."
"But he's being a bah humbug guy!" Mark complains.
"Yeah, because this holiday is basically the anti-me," Lucifer reminds him.
"Why is Christmas anti-you?" Alexis asks him.
"Because I've got a bad reputation around here," Lucifer tells her, then adds, "and everywhere."
"Why?"
"He's the 'embodiment of evil,'" Gabriel tells her, making finger quotes around the phrase."
"Seriously?" Alexis laughs.
Lucifer nods. "Evil incarnate. It's a cool rep, but I'm really not, so that's kinda annoying."
"It sounds annoying," Alexis agrees.
"Michael's lucky," Lucifer adds. "He's literally considered a saint." He rolls his eyes at the title, and I can tell that though he doesn't really care about sainthood, he may be a little bitter about this. I can't blame him. He really didn't do anything to deserve such a big gap in their reputations.
"What's a saint?" Alexis asks Michael.
"A ridiculous title humans give to people they think are better than others," Michael replies.
"Shouldn't Lucifer be the one trashing sainthood?" I ask with a slight laugh.
"I think we all hate it, actually," Michael tells me.
"Except me," Gabriel adds. "I just don't care. I'm special." I notice him carefully avoiding meeting my eye, instead talking to Lucifer and Michael as if I'm not here.
This is how the last week has gone, and, as much as I hate it, I find myself doing the same thing to him. I've noticed things becoming sort of awkward between Lucifer and Gabriel as well, but it's so minor, I could be imagining it.
"So," Jared says when no one else speaks, "are we still going to your old house today?" He looks at me, and I find myself relieved nothing has changed between us. We were never too close to begin with, but we haven't drifted apart since last week, either.
I nod. "Yep. Around one."
"Cool."
There's an awkward silence that ensues after this, none of us sure what to talk about. The six of us —Lucifer and me, Sabriel, and... Alechael? — have carefully avoided the subject of soulmates, not even telling the rest of the group. It was sort of an unspoken agreement on behalf of Sabriel, Lucifer, and me to avoid this drama, and I can only assume it was Michael that decided not to announce the soulmate status he shares with Alexis, likely because he knows Macie will flip out.
I'm sure everyone else has realized something is wrong. It's obvious, really. They haven't mentioned it, though, which is strange for such a drama-filled group. I'm thankful for it. I'd like it pretend it never happened, if only my mind would let me.

"Bailey!" Julia squeals as she opens the door, giving me a hug. Only when she pulls away does she see who came with me; the cast of Supernatural. "Oh my Chuck!" She begins jumping up and down frantically, hyperventilating and fanning herself with her hands excitedly.
I laugh. "Calm yourself."
"But — but — but —"
"Come on. Let's go inside." As we head in the house, I lean down and whisper to her, "Don't freak out. They're just people." Technically, that's not true, but she's thinking they're above her for reasons that she really shouldn't focus on.
I have a brief reunion with my parents and various aunts, uncles, and cousins I've nearly forgotten existed, in which nothing of note happens because that's really not the point of this part of the story and the author sees no reason to go into detail about it.
My friends have all dispersed, but I don't really want to talk to family members that I don't remember, so I decide to look around for them. I eventually find Lucifer talking to Misha, of all people. Can I go interrupt this? Is that allowed, or does it go against the unwritten social laws? Screw it. I'm going to do it anyway.
"Hey," I greet them.
"Hey," Misha replies.
"Shouldn't you be talking to your family?" Lucifer asks. "I mean, it's sort of what you're supposed to do on Christmas."
"I thought we were supposed to rant about how you're evil," Misha jokes.
"That too," Lucifer agrees.
"But I want to hang with you guys," I tell them. "So I'll talk to my family later."
"I can't complain," Lucifer replies.
We chat for a while, until the doorbell rings. I don't see anyone going to get it, so I decide to go check it myself. Of course, as soon as I do, Julia is there, but since I'm going anyway, I might as well finish the job. I open the door and freeze. Standing in front of me, a smirk on his face, is Rob.
