Between The Moons [BTS ~ Namjoon] [COMPLETE]

Chapter Nine

I woke up from the loud noises of the cell doors being opened and the mumbling of the other girls. I'm guessing our food for the start of the night was here. Was it even night? There were no window,  only artificial light.

"You eat,  and you drink what is given to you. If you don't,  you will be punished" The man who had a hold of me from yesterday shouted for everyone to hear as he brought in a try with a large cup of blood along with some meat. I looked up at the man,  he was tall,  with blonde hair and pale skin, his eyes were blue. He looked possessive,  like he felt he had control over us. He smiled at me with a horrible,  smile,  an unfriendly smile.

I noticed they passed another tray in and looked to my side to see Holly sat with her legs pulled up to her chest with her arms wrapped around them. She was shaking slightly as she looked up at the man passing the food. She glared at him as he smiled to her,  I don't think she's in the mood to cry and weep today.

"You might want to eat,  you'll need your strength for the day" He commented before turning and leaving again. I looked over to Holly, she was already looking at me and smiled. I got up and picked up the trays of food and passed one to Holly.

"What do you think it is?" she asked,  I think this was probably one of the first times I'd ever heard her talk apart from the odd times in class,  but that was ages ago. Her voice was higher pitched than mine,  it was delicate and kind.

"Honestly,  I don't know and I don't think I particularly want to know." I responded to her and looked down at the meat. I had an idea of what the meat was considering where we were and the fact that there was human blood with it.

"I really don't want to eat this" Holly said and placed the tray on the floor and pushed it away from her. I could completely understand why she didn't want to have any of it, it wasn't like the blood was fresh or even how we would normally have it. It was almost stale,  it was really old blood that hadn't been kept in the right conditions, and honestly the meat was not something I wanted to have to taste.

"You need to eat and drink what they give you. You'll get punished otherwise" the girl with short blonde hair that was shouted at Namjoon when I first arrived hear commented. She was in the opposite cell from us,  she looked up to me and looked at me with a serious look.

"Did they hurt you?" I asked,  noticing her lips was swollen slightly,  with a cut down it. She smiled and laughed a little bit and licked her lip,  passing over the cut and wincing slightly.

"They only punched me once in the face" she laughed sadly and looked down at her hands. I felt a pan of guilt hit me in my stomach, this was my fault,  she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me. I suddenly thought about who would hit her here. I thought about Namjoon,  concerned that it might have been him who did this to her. I looked away from her and looked at the floor.

"Was it Lee's son that done this to you?" I asked scarcely,  not really wanting to know the answer incase it wasn't the answer I wanted to hear.

"God no,  he's all talk that one. It was one of the guards,  you know the big one with blonde hair and blue eyes. He's a nasty piece of work" she said casually and leaned backed against the wall. I felt some sort of relief when I knew that it wasn't Namjoon that had caused her any pain.

"You could say that again" I said and touched my side,  it was still sore from how hard he elbowed me yesterday. I decided that I'd listen to what she said and picked up the large plastic cup with the stale blood inside of it.

"Don't think about it,  just chuck it back and then it's over" the girl said to me as she watched me picked up the cup,  I nodded to her and looked over to Holly who was ready to do the same. I looked down at it and took a deep breath before placing the cup to me lips. I took a deep breath and starting pouring the stale liquid into my mouth,  trying to drink it as fast as I could so it would be over.
