I was nervous, no. I was absolutely terrified. I had one chance to win everyone over and gain their respect once I took the throne, and I didn't want to mess it up.
I knew I had the support of most of the groups already, since they had already pledged their loyalty, but that didn't make it any easier. On top of that, I wanted to win over Quarter Moon. As insane and stupid as it sounded, I didn't want them to be seen as the bad people because most of them didn't seem all that bad.
I was going to have to compromise to win them over though, and I didn't know how it would work out. I'd spoken to the others and especially Namjoon about it, they thought it would be a good idea and it compromised enough.
I was back in my old bedroom in Crescent Moon, standing infront of the mirror that I used to when I waited for the full moon to appear to watch my eyes change. It was odd looking at my eyes in this mirror, waiting for them to turn purple without being ashamed of it. Although, I was going to miss the green, they were green most of the time, so for them to never be green again was strange.
I was wearing a long navy laced dress, ready for the ceremony. It hugged my curves, but it was still sophisticated. I'd had my makeup and hair done at the campus, not being able to go to the castle until it was ready.
That wasn't the only thing that was happening today, so the nerves were flying all over. It was going to take everything in me to stay awake the whole time and be alert, but it'll be worth it.
The sun was setting, it was one of the most beautiful sights to watch. Sighing as I looked out of my bedroom, watching the sun set, I could feel two arms hugging around my waist whilst a chin laid on my shoulder.
"Surely it's bad luck for you to see me" I laughed, knowing that it was Namjoon, hearing a deep chuckle in response.
"Only when you're in the wedding dress. Anyway, I'm not about to not see you become Queen." he responded, squeezing me slightly.
I heard someone knocking on the door, signalling that it was time. I turned around and sighed slightly, knowing all the pressure that was sitting on top of me.
"It's going to be okay, I won't let anything bad happen." Namjoon smiled slightly, tucking a stray piece of hair behind my ear before caressing my cheek lightly to not remove the make-up.
As I nodded, the door opened showing multiple men and women dressed incredibly formally. I already knew they were security, I'd met and spoke to the earlier and most of them were from Crescent Moon, which gave me a lot more comfort.
"The car is ready for you" they bowed, which I still didn't like, nor did I think I would ever get used to it.
Namjoon followed closely behind, almost as if he was part of security himself. It was still light outside, so I found myself with large sunglasses on and an unbrella above me to shade me from the dimming light. It meant that my eyes were still green, for the last time.
As I got into the large black car, I noticed how dark it was inside of it with the blacked out windows. I leaned against Namjoon as I sat in the middle, attempting to look out of the windows the best I could. Waiting till it was the right time.
The season was starting to change into spring, meaning the days were slowly but surely becoming longer. To any human, it was still going to feel cold to them. Luckily enough for me, I'm not one of them, it could be hot or cold and it still wouldn't bother me. You could see the sun setting, it wasn't going to be long until it would set fully. I needed to be crowned and on the throne by the time it fully set for it to be seen as official. If not, we'd have to wait for the next full moon.
