Serena's POV:
"By the end of the week, I want all of you and your designated partner to finish up the project completely, more points if you turn it in early and as you know you will lose points if you return it even a day late." The teacher had assigned a math project for everyone as well as choosing our partners in the project. Thankfully I had Calem as my partner but it did not go so well for May who was getting glares for being partners with Crimson's very own Drew.

Her uncomfortable struggle to avoid the glares from many got me to look at the undisturbed male she was assigned to. That was until one of his fangirls spoke up about the whole paring up. "Why did someone like her get to be with him? She doesn't even understand much of the subject, he deserves someone who is on the same level as him." The teacher had plugged in earphones, allowing us to get with our chosen partners to start on our projects. "I don't think someone who talks behind someone's back would be considered someone on my level, if you have a problem with my partner I suggest you talk to me about it and not talk like she isn't here."

The girl who had spoke was shocked by his sudden words; Sure both Paul and Drew were voted as the top coldest looking idols, never had there been actual footage of them being cold. My eyes trailed towards my friend who was looking down at her lap, her lips were parted slightly and her ears and cheeks were slightly turning red.

"Do you think I should have done that?" Calem questions right beside me as he stares at the scene unfold. I turned back to look at him and slightly shook my head before looking back at my May, worried. Drew got up from his desk and walked towards May, I could see she noticed this because I saw her hand shaking lightly. "I'm Drew!" It was impressing how he was flashing a smile at someone who wasn't even looking at him, not yet anyways.

May slowly looked up from her lap, her blue eyes landed upon his. "I'm Drew, What about you?" I was certain I saw him preventing himself from laughing at the rhyme he had just created and I could see he was genuinely trying to make May comfortable with him around. "I am May!" A small smile was forming on her lips and I felt relief wash over home, maybe she will be just fine. "Do you think we c-"

"Serena and Calem, right?" Calem's rant was interrupted by Drew who had recalled our names from the day we had shadowed him and his group. "Yes, that's us!" I happily smiled up at him, he slightly smiled but went back to paying attention to May. "You guys are all friends." I felt Calem about to speak for us all but I get as if Drew wanted to hear May speak so I nudged him in his stomach. "Yeah . . . We became close friends in junior high (middle school)!" Seeing her happily speak about us all three of us smiled at her enthusiasm.

Drew turned to look at us again. "How about you all come over my place, I don't want May to be uncomfortable with just me. How about it?" May and I made eye contact and just by seeing her eyes I could read her like an open book. "I'm sure that Ash's mother would love seeing you, since I believe you haven't seen his family in so long." I turned to look at him, what was he talking about? Does he not live with his family?

"I moved in with Ash's family when I was slowly growing into a big hit." He briefly explained, we all nodded in understanding. "Here!" He handed May his own phone, she looked at it funny before looking back up at him. He let out a low chuckle, finding her reaction funny. "I will send you the address!"

The bell rang as she rapidly imputed her phone number in his contacts. "I hope to see you guys at my place then!" Calem and May walked before both Drew and I, from the content of my eye I could see what he used as her contact name. Red Rose. I smiled at this and walked before he noticed I was there to view her contact name on his phone.

I bit down on my lip, not wanting to ruin a blossoming friendship between the two. "What was taking you so long! We have to make it into the cafeteria before all the mochis are gone!" May excited began to twirl her way around the hallways, careful not to bump into anyone. "Are we really going to have to go to his place? I don't really feel comfortable knowing it's Ash's place." Calem's footwork matched mine, when I stepped on my left foot he was stepping on his, I guess we grew to even match our speed level.

"Come on we can't leave May by herself!" I shot back staring at my happily twirling friend ahead of us. "Besides I think it will be fun to catch up with his parents, how long has it been since I last saw them?" When I glanced at Calem he was too focused on May, his jaw was slightly clenching and I felt like he would explode if I don't change the subject.

"You'll be going to the party, right?" He stuffed his hands in his dress pant pockets, his aura changed almost instantly. "Only because I can't leave you five all alone, you can get lost, get hurt, kidnapped, many more scenarios I don't wish for it to happen to any of you." His voice was calm but I could tell he really cared for us and just thinking about those things he felt mad. I smiled up at him, it was sweet of him to always care for us even when we are all in different levels.

"I know I may have told Miette and Ursula about you but please know I didn't me-" I gently punched him in his arm, his apologies were no longer needed. "I told you it's fine! You are already making it up to me by going to the ball and making sure nobody finds out about our little secret." I small smile was slowly forming on his lips, it relieved me. It always did.
