"Insomnia . . or lack of sleep can cause you to forget certain things." The leader of the all time boy group was interrupted sulking on his own as a voice rang behind him.
A familiar voice.
"I'm no singer nor am I someone who was there with you at your time of debut." Turning around to find the familiar appearance that resembled him, rage crossed his eyes.
With no hesitation, Calem's shirt was tugged by Ash. His eyes furrowing close together in both confusion and anger.
Maintaining cool and understanding where his anger was coming from. Calem rose his hands in surrender while hoisting his chin high.
"What the hell do-"
"I didn't come here to pick a fight. This is me coming to you with good intentions."
Being filled with so much emotions, the leader of the boy group held him in his place not coming in terms with his words. Rather not wanting to listen to anything he had to say.
"It's about Serena."
He caught it.
The sudden softness in his eyes that dissipated the minute he realized himself. Softness than irritation, than coming to the lane of wrath. He saw it all flash from the eyes of the leader of the boy group.
"I don't want to hear anything from you." Ash spat out, every word filled with venom.
"I'll admit to it now," Calem stared into the eyes of who once was a close friend. "I admit that I am have been in the wrong. I am in the wrong for having had lied to her."
The jaw of the singer clenched tightly with every word that was being spoken.
"I underestimated you as a factor. Didn't really come to accept the fact that you could be back somehow."
His anger was rising, the usual cool-headed singer was gripping tightly onto the collar of the other male's uniform. His knuckles turning a different color than his own.
"I-"
Noticing everything in his homage of behavior. The taller black haired male stopped talking. Allowing for silence to take over between the both of them.
"I won't tell you what you seem to have forgotten but I will say that you are in the wrong as well."
"QUIT THAT!"
He immediately zipped his lips hearing the yelling of the singer.
"You say that I'm in the wrong and you tell me there is something I did wrong but it was her! And you as well!"
Wanting to keep the peace, Calem repeated his first words towards the male.
"Lack of sleep can cause memory loss. The same way an accident can cause memory loss. Both very impactful."
Silence between both of them. The grip on his collar slowly loosening up from Ash.
"Serena got into an accident that ended the life of her mother. That caused a memory loss from her."
In disbelief, the singer let go of the male. An exhale coming out in a sign of annoyance. His hand ran through his hair as he just looked at the male he once titled a friend.
"The death of her mother was enough for her to feel sorrow. Recalling the fact that yo-" Calem let out a sigh as he interrupted himself. "Recalling terrible memories of you wasn't going to be added onto it. So I lied to her."
The truth was being revealed for the first time in years.
Even when his heart was slowly breaking at the fact that this could turn against him. In retrospect, memories of all of them as youngsters coming to mind.
"All I'm saying is that I never wanted to have her to myself. I lied to her, yes, I admit." His fists were held tightly in place.
He garnered his attention to their shoes. His jaw clenching at the fact he knew where he was heading. He both hated and loved the fact he was heading towards the proper direction. A mixed of emotions.
"Maybe I wanted to help give you a new start. You were terrible and now maybe even worse but I still wanted for you to start over."
There it was.
True intentions meant to be good seen as something terribly bad.
