I have to say because I want to get to the good parts of the story and continue with the plot I have had to Time Skip from the previous chapter I hope that won't be an issue for some.
Serena's POV:
"Since when have you wanted to create several videos?"
"Don't we usually update once per week?" A side of my cheek puffed out as I heard the comments and questions Misty and May exchanged. "It's a little odd, Sere. We don't update videos that often unless it's a special celebration or a certain entertainment purpose. Do we have anything scheduled for today?" Dawn turned to look at Iris who looked down at her notebook which was sprawled before her. "Nope, nothing at all." She popped the 'P' creating a loud noise with her lips.
"Do we really follow our schedule?" I muttered under my breath at the realization that we had always been organized about video updates. Shaking off the thought I look back at the group of girls before me. "I just finished a new song I was hoping we could already upload! Come on I know how much you all enjoy singing!" They glanced at each other before giving into the temptation of my words, a small smile spreading on their lips. "Alright let's go then!"
~~~~~~~ Mini Time Skip
With the help of Misty, we set up the set while May set up the microphone stands and both Iris and Dawn adjusting the disguises for all of us. "Help me push the piano a bit further to the left." I hurried towards the side of the piano to help Misty move it to her favored destination.
"Are you going to wear a wig today Misty?" Dawn called out while taking her time brushing a pink short haired bob, the shining at the top brought a satisfying feeling to it. "I don't . . ." We pushed the piano bit by bit, the heavy weight of the instrument caused us to easily run out of breath due to how much energy it takes. "I don't think that will be necessary, just give me one of those fake strands of hair." Dawn nodded her head before setting the set up wig down. "Alright done!" Iris exclaimed happily at both of their accomplishments.
"Good then help me plug the cord." May arranged the height of the stand. "The outlet should be around here somewher-" The sudden intrusion of Calem startled us for a second before identifying who he was. "Strange, are you guys going to record another video?" We all modded before going back to our missions. "All set then!" Misty happily smiled at the set, Calem took a seat in the corner just observing us from his chosen spot.
"You guys decided to do this earlier then usual, why is that?" He questioned and I nervously sweat dropped when I came to the conclusion of the reason behind everything. "It doesn't matter right now, let's put on the masks already." He didn't push further which was a relief to me.
We all began to put on our wigs and adjusts our personalized masks. Iris wearing a navy curled up hairdo and a green mask with fake gems which brought out her skin and eyes a lot, Misty wore two clips on either side of her head, which were hidden from view, that held onto strands of red fake hair and her yellow mask that seemed golden from the perspective of viewers from afar, May wore the pink short haired bob that Dawn had taken her time brushing with a red mask that showed off her eyes, Dawn wore a purple colored wig that reached down to her bottom with a violet mask, and I had put on my blonde hair that reached down my shoulders and my pink colored mask.
"Calem, could you be kind enough and record? Oh, also lock the door so we don't have any inconveniences for today." Calem did a small salute like a soldier before following Misty's command.
"What song are you planning to do now?" Dawn questioned me as she pulled out the microphone from its spot on the stand. I walked towards my book bag before pulling out my song book and looking through it until I found the song I had in mind. "I wanted to try this one, I know it isn't finished fully but I want to be able to give others something to hear and enjoy." May took the notebook from my hands, her orbs reading through the lyrics.
"Isn't this that song you were working on the day after middle school graduation? It's been forever and you haven't finished this at all?" My cheeks heated up as I now remembered that she had a point, I had forgotten that this was a song I haven't finished for so long. "H-hey, it's fine don't worry about it okay! It's really good, you can finish it later on, Kay?" Her reassurance was something that was really needed at this time, if it wasn't for any of them I am sure I would have been in complete frustration.
"Let's go shall we?" With Misty rushing us all we settled down before the mic stand fully in disguise before Calem signaled us that recording had officially began.
We sang with such a tune that felt joyous for me to hear, the sound of their voices was perfectly blended in with each other. When the refrains came by in the song, it was a perfect match. We hadn't practiced whatsoever but even then we knew what we were all thinking causing this moment to be perfectly in sync not to mention that as Misty began to sing as if she were a rapper, speedily rhyming with ease and still continued to sound as if she wasn't trying at all. Iris and Dawn's vocals were pleasant and calming yet brought out a bit of feisty into their individual voice as for May, while her voice was composed and quiet when she needed to her voice brought in an elegant and stable pitch higher then Dawn's. It was satisfying to hear them all singing and even brought a further smile onto my lips as I saw them holding back the urge to laugh a little bit.
"You can be a star, you can be a star, don't forget that, You will brightly light up what's ahead, like a star."
