Day BEFORE the Masquerade Ball:
Ash's POV:
"We have your suits already set for tomorrow, your masks will be ready for pick up tomorrow in the morning, your shoes are getting polished as we speak and . . . The car we rented is set to pick us up tomorrow at around noon! What else are we missing . . ." My mother raced around the house as all of us just stood in a line, including my father. We all just stared as she walked around the entire house with her constant talking."Dates?" Gary finally spoke up to say something as stupid as he did. "Won't we need dates for the masquerade ball?" He looked towards us, I glared at him, Paul only rose his eyebrow at him, and Drew only shrugged seeming like he was taking Gary's side on this.
"Ooh! Right!" My mother comes down the stairs with a wide smile tugging at her lips. "I was thinking of it until I realized that . . . Ash already has a date . . . Melody . Z . But that won't stop me from making some calls! I see Drew got close with one of Serena's friends, May? Was it! Such a sweet girl! I'm sure she will accept the offer after all, Drew is a complete gentleman!"
"With a huge dirty mouth." Paul muttered under his breath getting a flick on the forehead by Drew himself.
"Oh! Don't you worry either Paulie! I also have someone in mind for you! The blue haired beautiful girl, Dawn, with her positive attitude I think it would rub off on you a bit! After all opposites do attract!" While Paul began to show some vulnerability by turning somewhat red Drew mocked him.
I knew what she was doing, playing matchmaker with all of us. She, herself, knows what she's doing and she's enjoying it greatly.
"I'm sure by that your ego and Misty's temper are equivalent to one another, both toxic but together greatly immense and the usual rivalry to lovers kind of romance, don't you think Egotistic?" She teases Gary who had lost his smile when he heard his match. "M-Misty? You mean the hot tempered red/orange (?) head? W-we don't match whatsoever! W-We have our own differenc-"
"What did I say?" He was interrupted by her words, though her words sounded a tad bit harsh her smile still remained. "Cilan, as another gnetleman I presume that you and Iris both have had gotten to know each other! Am I right?" He nodded his head a bit bashful.
"She's a very beautiful girl, sweet, carefree yet careful, enthusiastic. I had asked her before and she accepted . . . But here's her catch." He waited patiently to hear what Iris' condition was. "You have to find her yourself." What did he expect from a child like teenage girl who enjoyed the thrill of things. Both Cilan and my mother smiled at each other. "I'll be sure to find her and ask for a dance with her!"
I clicked my tongue at how my mother was giving me a sympathetic look. "I haven't heard if Serena will be going or if Calem will be going either so that will be a mystery until we walk into the ballroom tomorrow."
'Did I say she was going, didnt I specifically say she was suppose to go?' I shook the thought off and just looked at my mother who clapped her hands together. "Now, your dad has something to say to all of you!"
My father stepped out of line and turned to look at us. He turned from father to manager and CEO of his music company. "As suggested, there will be some entertainment tomorrow, you five included in this entertainment. You will only be performing 2 songs, opening the entire party and later opening for the masked group that you boys met before." My ears perked up like a dog when he heard his owner unlocking the door.
"We need to assure that you boys can still have fun so you will have to change several times if you want to continue with the party without being found. So we will have you boy change into other sets of suits and masks before you go on to perform and then change back to . . . Chill?" I mentally cringed at how my father was aiming to get with today's teenage trend.
