Ash's POV:
'Wait don't go! I didn't mean to hurt you!'
'I said leave me alone, we are no longer friends anymore.'
A gasp escaped my lips, bringing back oxygen I didn't know I needed up until I felt her hand on my wrist. My heart was palpitating against my rib cage almost as if it wanted to be released from it's prison, my breathing was heavy like I had ran a whole marathon, my palms began to lightly sweat and my legs felt wobbly.
"I-I'm sorry!" Serena quickly let go of my hand, shamelessly bowing without making any eye contact with me whatsoever. Over and over again, she had her eyes closed while rising up and down to bow for forgiveness to her sudden bold move. "I really don't know what got into me!" She continues to babble on and on about how she couldn't recognize her own self after the sudden action.
"Just shut it already! If you see the others tell them I'm out waiting for them." I didn't turn to look at her nor did I have the intention to leave before picking up the others but it was probably best if I didn't want to be seen having a sort of blackout.
Her sudden boldness in the way she took grasp of my wrist took me by surprise, the sensation of her small hand wrapping itself around my wrist, the warmth that lingered on even after the incident. Everything, everything was still there and marked onto my skin. My chest rose and went back to it's place as I cleared my head, now fully being out of the school and just sitting outside observing the outside world.
