The bass thumped in time with every young heart beat as though they were one, filling them all from head to toe with music. Portrayals of enjoyment towards the song being played was evident with every growing adult at the dance floor.
Over the roar of music, a distant, hazy chatter could be heard. Impossible to make out any words, but laughter rang in ears and wouldn't seem to stop. The song that was playing got louder, pulling youthful guests in and wouldn't let go. While the chaos of teenager and young adults resulted with the music playing, those who were more on the classical side kept their inconsequent polite conversation, canapes, and wine enjoying the performances from the masquerade dancers at the dance floor.
A group of males walked further into the establishment, astonishment taking over each of their faces as they turned from side to side just admiring their surroundings. "They have everything . . ." One muttered out loud, his brown hair being messed by him. "Careful not to get yourselves noticed . . . Don't bring much attention to yourself." The oldest spoke up loudly, aware of the fact that the chattering around them would make it difficult to get his message around if he just spoke.
The leader, kept his gaze around nodding as if he heard what was being reminded, his chocolate orbs which seemed bright under the lightening in the room trailed everywhere almost as if he was aiming to find someone. "We have a few until the party officially starts and we have to be up on stage. Yeah?" The green haired towering male spoke up with his hand slightly smacking the back of the distracted leader.
"Everyone understand?" They all nodded their heads showing comprehension towards the elder's words of scheduling.
In an instant, Drew, Paul, and Gary moved alongside each other furthering their search for their promised dates. This leaving a monotonous Ash and an older brother like Cilan behind, both of which just stood before one another with glances around the building. "Are you going to be okay all by yourself for a while?" The caring mint green haired male questioned with his hands going into his pockets, a collect style showcased.
"Why wouldn't I? All I'll be doing is walking around and waiting until we go on stage before I can leave." Ash followed after his friend, crossing his arms over his chest in a cool matter as he spoke. While his words were directed towards Cilan, he couldn't help but have his eyes wander around him.
Having know eachother for so long, having that brother bond even while they weren't blood related gave the older male enough time for him to be able to read Ash like an open book. Not being able to contain much of anything, he debated with himself. His lips parted and closed resembling that of a fish out of water.
From the corner of Cilan's eyes he noticed the same figure as his friend before him, the same designed suit and mask and the same hairstyle. Not long did he receive a message which is where he made up his mind.
"You saw what S-Amour was wearing, her dress is much more complex then the ones being worn around . . . She would be alone by the looks of it." Before the younger male could even talk and get to ask how he was so acknowledgeable about the female, Cilan nodded his head before moving along.
In the midst of his confusion, he was soon bumped by a guest. "I-I'm so sorry! I-I didn't see yo-" Both of them faced each other, their eyes widening when they realized who they were speaking to. "There you are! I thought I wouldn't be able to find you." The female's sweet innocent-like voice was enough to melt him from his frozen state.
"Huh?" He was finally capable of speaking, still unsure if she was really talking with the right person. "You walked away before I could even catch you! Don't you think it's a bit rude?" Through her bedazzled mask, which was making it hard for him to get a good look at the person who would disguise herself as she created videos revealing her talent, the blonde female couldn't help but smile while she teased the masked male before her.
"Let's continue our chat, why don't we?" The disguise had always seemed to give her an extra boost of confidence whenever she wore it and after no longer feeling small in the ballroom she was able to freely dance carelessly. She gently took hold of his hand and he allowed her to not fully understanding if she was talking with the right person.
"Right . . . What was our chat about? I forgot." He lies while she had pulled him towards the dance floor. "Well you ran off before we could continue . . . If you don't want to talk about it then we don't have to . . . I can't possibly remember much from before but whatever it is that I forgot I'm really sorry." He attentively listened to the female, he was even more confused yet intrigued by what she was saying.
"You know I'm actually much more comfortable being around you at places like these." She giggled and he could only chuckle alongside finding the situation funny. "I didn't want the girls to have to be around while they could go on their dates so I'm happy that you chose to stay by my side for the night." Realization struck him when he figured out the masked singer believed that Ash was the male she was walking inside with.
"As a gift of gratitude how about I make you some macaroons tomorrow? How about it?" She kept happily dancing alongside him whereas he could only scratch the back of his head, if he were to speak would he give himself away or would it pass her due to the loud noises surrounding both of them.
"Do you need something to drink? Are you ok-"
"Yeah . . . I would like that." He would continue with the charades.
The female nodded her head with a hidden smile behind the silver dazzled mask of hers that very well matched with her dress. "So What do you have planned for your performance?" The raven haired male started up conversation as if it was normal between both of them.
From behind her mask she winked, the bling that came from the corner of the mask shined as she did the action. "That will be a secret! The girls and I have worked hard on it . . . We even have a whole choreography thanks to D-" Amour was slightly pushed foreword by a couple trying to get by, reaction towards the sudden movement Ash wrapped his arm around the female's waist to secure her.
"Sorry, honey." The couple walked away just as they came. Amour could only look up at the teenage male who kept his grasp on her, with parted lips that were covered by her mask she could only stare taking in his hidden appearance.
"Thank you . . . Calem."
