Serena's POV:
"How about instead of 'I'm just a parabola on the horizon for you' you change it to 'I am the arc that you see staring at the horizon' it gives it more of a tune." I bit down on my lip when I finished checking a part of the writing. It was the same words that had made me feel as if the song needed adjustments. "I think you have a point, why were we using something complex and unsuitable instead of something simple." Cilan looked upon the leader who just shrugged it off as if it was nothing to him.

"Wait is this suppose to be a rap verse? I scanned through it I just never actually got to read it until now." Calem pointed towards a paragraph that was highlighted. "Yeah, Ash and I spent a few nights writing some parts but eventually left it to Drew to continue our work." Gary spoke up glancing at the marks.

"I could tell who worked on what, Ash did you even try to achieve something it doesn't even seem like you were creating a flow just seems like you were clashing together what you found was most fitting." Ash scoffed at Calem's harsh words, he wasn't wrong but I would have worded it differently.

I saw Calem's eyes trail over his specific verse, his eyebrows furrowed and he seemed to be getting frustrated over the simple reading. I've seen how proud he was of his own skills, I've heard what he was capable of and how he works to achieve much more but never have I ever seen him grow mad over reading someone else's work. "Hand me a pen." Gary handed him a red colored pen.

Calem took it but didn't begin to write just yet, he looked my way. The harsh gaze he once had while reading the lyrics vanished and instead changed into a warm genuine spark in his eyes. "Rather then blazing summer sun, I want that smile of your lips, like a setting sun." He began to think out loud as he wrote down his thoughts, they were way different then what Ash had for his verse but in a way he added onto it. "We can leave the last part since it doesn't seem so perverted as you wanted it to sound." He set the papers down and dropped the pen in a smug motion, taunting Ash.

"Uh . . . Calem . . . That wasn't something you have to rudely say!" I scolded him, his growing smirk faded away and he seemed like he was preventing himself from pouting to make himself look innocent.

"Calem likes Serena . . . That's why he stopped silently teasing Ash." Misty butted in, her eyes on the monitor but I could tell she was able to see us through the reflection. My cheeks burned red at her mindlessness and sincere honesty, I have known he grew fond of me but I didn't want to change our status. "Anyways, we are ready to go!" May happily exclaimed clapping her hands together, content with the final results.

"Alright let's hear it then." Gary stood behind Misty's chair wanting to get first look into her editing. "Hear it for yourselves." She clicked a file on the computer and music began to blast around the room. The song is more lively, with some nods to EDM, Tracks like this are highly enjoyable in my book, like a good cup of coffee, injecting an energy boost into your day.

I looked upon the lyrics while they were all focused on the music, from the corner of my eye I could see Gary and Cilan slightly moving around possibly already thinking of a choreography. The song goes through the motions that you'd expect, telling someone to grab a drink and relax, with some naughty lyrics as well. In a way, I am proud of the outcome of everything.

"Amazing! In just a matter of seconds and you completely finished this!" Gary ruffled Misty's orange-red(?) hair causing her to scowl at his action but nonetheless he refused to stop, too happy of the accomplishment. "It wasn't that hard. Like I said previously you guys seemed to have used some material over and over again, the only thing I did was reflect on that idea while adding onto it." The music abruptly stopped after she had finished. "I couldn't have done it without Drew and May, they were the ones who kept suggesting we take on a new perspective." May shyly looked down at her feet as the boys praised both Drew and her.

My phone rang, when I found it stashed behind some of books the minute I checked the caller ID I froze. Jessie.

"Uh . . . Well . . . I have to get going my step mother needs my assistance. Hopefully you guys accomplish a win for your album!" Picking up my stuff I practically ran out as I answered the phone call from Jessie.

"Hello?"

"Where are you and why wasn't dinner served? Do you know what we had to eat?"

"T-Take ou-"

"Take out! Take out! We had to eat such nasty food because you weren't here."

I wanted to suggest she took her children towards a nice restaurant but that would just make it seem like I was mocking her -only half true-

"I'm sorry I got caught up doing homework, I thought I would be back in time." I lied, I hadn't realized that it was past 8 already until I saw that the fans that were once in the front of the building were no longer there and the night sky dawned over me. From the other line I could hear her growling at my excuse.

"Do you know where you stand? You are nothing but a mere little girl who thinks the world circulated around you, you never deserve to keep the title as a Yvonne nor to you deserve to keep the inheritance. My children are most desirable, most intelligent, most talented . . . They deserve to have a servant who attends them hand and foot."

Her words hit me hard but I know deep down underneath all her harsh and cold words, underneath all that hatred towards me -like the untold truth of the villains in fairytales- There is always a reason for the wall font. I know deep down there is a kind soul that just needs to be cared for.

"I'll be right over, I'm very sorry!"
