Chapter 38

"What is it Rosie?" Bae asked tiredly.

Then he heard thunder, and I gripped him harder.

"Oohhh. You're afraid of storms." He said and hugged me tighter.

I gripped the back of his shirt and I was trying to focus on breathing.

"Woah! Rosie, breathe. It's ok. I'm right here." Bae said soothingly.

I breathed in really hard and let out a shaky breath, while trying to hold back tears.

"Hey. Don't cry. I bet Niall's on his way home right now." Bae said, rubbing my back.

I heard the rain beat down on the widows, like they were trying to break in. Then I saw the lightning light up the black sky. Then the thunder rattled the house, like it was going to topple over.

*FlashBack*

"But mommy. I want to go home."

"We can't go home Rose."

"Why? I want daddy. I'm cold and wet."

I looked up at my mom and saw the pity in her eyes.

"Just stay here. I'll be right back."

My mom stepped out from under the gazebo and out into the storm. She was halfway across the street when thunder exploded and the lightning touched down. I screamed and ran after my mom, who was on the ground shaking violently.

"Mommy? Mommy wake up."

I sat there with her till a car came and stopped.

"Are you ok?" The woman asked.

Then gasped when she saw my mother on the ground, burnt and dead.

I didn't realize my eyes were closed till Bae touched my cheek.

"Rosie, it's ok. Nothing is going to happen." Bae said.

"How do you know?! Nothing is going right! I can't help but feel something is going to happen. Something bad." I said grabbing Bae's shirt.

"Ok. The first thing you need to do is loosen your grip. And second, you need to breathe. Trust me, nothing bad is going to happen."

I loosened my grip and looked at Bae.

"Really?" I asked I said looking into his eyes.

"Really." He said returning the stare.

"Bae?" I asked after a while.

"Hmm?"

"Thank you." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

I could tell he was shocked by what I did, but I didn't care. He was there for me.

"Anytime." Bae said touching the place I kissed him.

"Rosie?" Bae asked after a while.

"Yah?"

"I'm sorry."

"It's .......ok."

"No it's not ok. I treated you terribly and I don't deserve to be forgiven. But I really am so sorry."

"No, Bae. It's ok really. You're a stupid boy with magic. And that's what they do." I said laughing.

"Hey!" Bae said playfully.

"I think the thunder stopped." I said, getting up.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my cup. I heard the door open and a bunch of loud voices.

"That was hilarious!" Louis screamed.

"No it wasn't!" Liam said.

"Sorry Liam, but it kinda was." Jenny said giggling.

"God! Guys! Loud enough?!" I yelled.

I heard more laughter after that and they walked into the kitchen. They were all soaked, except Liam. He was muddy!

"Wow Liam. Looking sexy. What happened?" I asked giggling.

Liam sighed and ran upstairs. We all looked at him then they turned and looked at me.

"What did I do?" I asked.

They all shrugged, so I ran up after him. His door was cracked a little so I peeked in. I looked around till I saw him in his bed. He was just in his boxers, I felt my face grow pink. Then the worst thing happened, I sneezed.

"Rosie?" Liam called out.

I stood up and opened the door.

"Hey Liam." I said smiling from embarrassment.
