Joel, Ross, and Max were all sitting in the warehouse when Lizzie came running inside.

"Guys, wake up Shelby and Scott, it's an emergency." Ross went over and quickly shook the two awake after he had taken a few pictures for later use. Everyone gathered around Lizzie to see what was so important.

"So I was outside looking around the building when I found this scroll, all it says is watch Your back. I don't know who it's from but I think it's time we start training."

"Ok, I mean it makes sense. We need to learn to control our powers anyway so let's go." Shelby said as she started towards the door. Everyone was right behind and they headed out to the open field.

Everyone decided to practice on their own for a bit before they worked together. Ross tried to summon a small breeze and ended up making a giant gust of wind, knocking himself over. Max burst out laughing and was on the ground with tears running down his face.

"It wasn't that funny," Ross grumped, getting to his feet. Joel tried to make a small flower grow a little bigger. The flower grew as big as a tree before anyone could say a word.

"Whoa, I didn't think it would get that big," Joel said with a look of disbelief on his face. Lizzie was up next. She tried to make it sprinkle over the huge flower, but instead, it became a downpour.

"That was not supposed to happen," Lizzie mumbled, a faint blush settling on her cheeks. Max decided to go next. He was trying to summon some static electricity but instead, a huge bolt of lightning hit the ground in front of him.

"AHHHHHH!" Max screamed, falling backward. Now it was Ross's turn to die of laughter. Max glared at him and stood up, "Whatever, Shelby it's your turn."

"Yay!" Shelby exclaimed. She held out her hands and tried to make a small fire. A huge fireball burst out from her palm and hit Joel's flower tree thing. Shelby looked horrified at what she had done. The others tried to reassure her that it was fine but she wouldn't listen. She walked a few feet away and sat by herself.

"Well, I might as well go," Scott sighed and held up his hand. He tried to create a small frost appear on what was left of the flower, but he froze it into a giant block of ice instead. He just shook his head and stated," I think we all need to work on mastering our powers a little more. We should go get some rest and train some more tomorrow." He walked over to Shelby and pulled her up, even though she fought with him and kept saying to leave her alone. He picked her up bridal style and carried her into the warehouse. Everyone soon followed, exhausted from trying out their powers. Everyone climbed into their own cot, except Scott and Shelby who had to sleep together and quickly fell asleep.

?'s pov

"Sir, their powers are stronger than we expected, I don't know if they will come without a fight." My stupid assistant kept sputtering on about how powerful these kids were. Well, I didn't care, I wanted the powers and nothing was going to stop me.

"ENOUGH!" I yelled, causing him to shut up," I do not care how powerful they are, we will continue with the plan. Make sure the weapons are ready to leave by sundown tomorrow, I'm not taking any chances."
