Another Day in heck

David's pov

Finally, I had those kids back where they belong, in my lab. Well, my introduction lab anyway. I'll move them once I get them all compliant. Ah, here I am, my favorite place in the whole world, my cells where I keep everyone who is different, who has magic. I like to come and check on them to make sure they're okay. Once I get those brats to bend to my will, I'll have the perfect army. I'll be able to take over the kingdom.

"Hello sir, is there something you need sir?" I had stopped in front of a cell, my favorite cell. He was my most loyal servant.

"No, not today. I just wanted to see how you were doing." The black-haired boy nodded and replied,

"I'm fine sir."

"Good, good. I wanted to let you know that I have captured the final addition to the army, and I am breaking them down now. Once I have their loyalty we will go to the next step of the plan." I informed him, and he simply nodded in return. Now I had to get back to breaking down the hope of my most recent prisoners.

Joel's pov

It had been hours since David had left, and we were all really concerned about Shelby and Kailey. Shelby stopped jerking around a while ago, but now it looked as if she wasn't breathing, but every once and a while we could hear her shallow intake of breath. Kailey, on the other hand, hasn't moved even a centimeter and I couldn't tell if she was still breathing. Scott had calmed down a little since he had woken up, but he still looked as if he wanted to rip someone's head off.

"Why hello, my wonderful subjects. How's everyone doing? Comfortable?" David walked towards Kailey and started to drain her tube. As the liquid drained away Kailey slowly started to come to. Before she could regain her senses he pulled her out of the tube and forced her down onto a table. As he was securing her arms she started to struggle. She kicked him in the head and tried to get out of the bonds. David looked furious, he slapped her and she went motionless. He quickly tied the rest of the restraint and moved to a table in the corner.

"Well, I was going to give you a break, but I see you obviously don't need one." He grabbed a syringe and filled it with something out of a blue jar. Kailey's eyes widened and she started to struggle again, this time with a sudden urgency.

"No no no no no no no. Please don't do this. I promise I won't try that again but please, not this. I'm sorry, please," Kailey was panicking, her eyes filled with fear.

"Kailey, Kailey look at me. I promise everything will be okay. You can get through this. I promise it will be okay, just remember it's not real. It will be okay," Derek was trying to calm her down as David approached her. Kailey nodded and squeezed her eyes shut. David jammed the needle into her arm and she let out a gasp. Her eyes opened for a second before she fell victim to the serum.

"Well, that will teach her. That's enough excitement for a day. I'll leave you here for tonight. We will start your individual treatments tomorrow," David left just as quickly as he came. Suddenly we all heard Kailey let out a blood-curdling scream.

"What's going on with her? Derek, you seemed to know what David gave her," I looked at Derek, who looked as if he was going to cry.

"It's a fear serum. I-it puts you into your worst nightmare, and y-you don't realize i-its fake. D-David would use it t-to p-punish us when we d-disobeyed him," Derek was on the brink of tears as he looked at Kailey, who was shaking and had tears streaming down her face.

"Don't worry, we'll get out of this and you can kick the ever-living nuggets out of David, okay?" I was reassuring Derek, who looked as if he was going to have a panic attack. He nodded and took some deep breaths.

"Joel, do you have enough energy to summon some vines?" Lizzie looked as if she had a plan, which knowing her she probably did.

"Maybe, but I'll need some dirt or something to grow it out of," I looked around the room, but I couldn't see anything I could use to grow a vine out of.

"Okay, what about you Max. Do you think you could fry your bonds and escape?" Lizzie glanced over at Max, who gave a simple nod. He got a look of concentration as electricity rippled over his arms. His bonds began to burn away and he was soon free. He ran over to Ross first and untied him. They hugged and looked as if they were about to kiss.

"As romantic as this is, would you mind letting us out?" Scott called out, and Max and Ross quickly pulled away from each other, bushes clear on their faces. They quickly got to work on setting us all free. As soon as Scott was out he rushed to Shelby's side. Derek followed suit and rushed over to Kailey. He placed his hands on her head and a glow erupted from his hands, just like he had done for Ross. Kailey bolted upright, and Derek engulfed her in a hug. She looked confused for a moment but soon pieced everything together.

"Go help Shelby, I'm fine," Kailey nudged him over to where Scott and Shelby were. He nodded and quickly used his power to wake Shelby. As soon as she woke up she engulfed Scott in a huge hug.

"Now, let's make an escape plan."
