Kailey's pov

They can't do this! I have to save David!

No, we don't

Shut up! Yes we do. He is our Master

Not anymore. Let me out. We're under a serum! Can't you see that!

I know we are, and that's only because you wouldn't cooperate. Now shut up. You're not getting free, we will be faithful to David.

Joel's pov

"We're almost there," We had been walking for hours. Kailey had passed out a little bit ago, so we were able to move a bit faster without having to worry about her getting away. Derek looked really upset, but I can't blame him. He keeps trying to break whatever she's under, but it's not working.

"I wish I knew what was going on with Kailey," Lizzie came up next to me, and I wrapped my arm around her shoulder.

"It'll be okay dear. We'll figure out a way to help her," Lizzie nodded and nuzzled closer to me.

"We're here. Let's get Kailey secure inside before she wakes up," Max ran up to the door with Derek behind him as they went to go take care of Kailey. The rest of us filed inside and went to sit in the living room.

"I can't believe this is happening. Kailey helped us so much, from getting us out of David's castle and sheltering us when we were out. And look at her now. David brainwashed her or something to make her his goddamn slave! How the hell are we going to help her if we don't know what's wrong with her in the first place!" Ross was ranting and pacing around the living room with a furious look on his face. I knew Ross still felt bad about what he did to Kailey, and this just made him feel even worse.

"Wait, what did you just say Ross?" Derek had just walked into the room and was looking at Ross.

"Uh, how are we going to help Kailey if we don't know what's wrong with her in the first place?"

"No, before that."

"Oh, David brainwashed her to be his slave or something."

"Ross, you're a genius! I should have thought of this earlier. To be honest I didn't think he would ever convince him to let him have it but it looks like he did. Okay, think Derek think! How do you reverse it."

"HEY!" Derek's head snapped over to Shelby, who was standing on a stool. "What the ever living hell are you going on about?"

"Okay, so this is going to sound crazy, but I think David made a deal with a demon."

Shelby's pov

"A demon? He knows a demon who can brainwash people?!?" I stood there slack-jawed, while Derek just nodded.

"Yeah, he does. When I was still his slave I know he was trying to make a deal with him for a serum that could control someone completely, even their thoughts. The demon, who goes by the name of Nick, always denied though, saying how it was too much power for a mortal. I guess David must have convinced him," Derek had gone back to pacing and was running his head through his hair. He stopped and a smile slid onto his face, "So who's up for summoning a demon."

Cory's pov

"This is crazy. What if he decides to kill us all, or dam us to eternal servitude?!?" Everyone was getting ready to summon this demon, and I was apparently the only sane one in thinking this was a bad idea.

"Look Cory, I get that you wouldn't know this, but Kailey has literally risked everything for us and has helped us countless times. If this will get her back to normal, I'm willing to risk it," Max had stopped for a moment to look at me and explain all this. I nodded but was still hesitant as I started to help.
