Coming to an End

Lizzie's pov

The next three days flew right by. We were all so busy going over the plan and making changes, trying to make sure everything was perfect. Before we knew it it was time to leave for David's castle, and we were all on edge. Everyone was still worried about Kailey just giving herself to David, but we didn't really have any other choice. We were almost there when we were all stopped dead in our tracks by a bright white light.

Third pov

"Hello, I've been wanting to speak to you all for a while, and it looks like now's the perfect time," The woman with long blond hair and dressed in white greeted the group as they regained their sight.

"You're the woman Kailey and I met when we were under David's serums! What are you doing here?" Shelby walked up to the lady and smiled as she waited for her to explain.

"I came to warn you. David created a new serum, to make him immortal. He knew you would be coming to kill him, so he took protective measures," Everyone's face fell, and they all began to lose hope when the woman began to speak again, "But there is a way to stop him." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a crystal that glowed a brilliant white and handed it to Kailey. "Use this when you feel it's right, and you can stop David, But make sure you're out of the way before you use it, or it will affect you too. Now I must go, I've already been here for too long. I'll see you all again someday, so goodbye for now." The woman disappeared, and the group of hero's all looked at each other, determined to finish what they started.

Yukari's pov

Kailey and I headed to the front doors of David's castle, while the others headed to the secret entrance. I placed the metal gag over my mouth and gave the remote to Kailey. She smiled reassuringly, and pressed the doorbell, letting everyone know we were here. I heard people heading to the door and watched with horror as David threw open the door and had guards grab both me and Kailey. The plan was not working, everything was going wrong, and we had no way to tell the others. I just hope they are okay.

Joel's pov

While Yukari and Kailey went to distract David the rest of us snuck over to the hidden door on the side of the castle. Everyone hurried in before David could realize what was going on. As we were walking to the grand room to intercept David, all the lights went out. Everyone froze and I grabbed Lizzie's hand and squeezed it, comforting both her and myself.

"Welcome, I'm so glad you decided to visit me and your two dear friends," a spotlight flashed onto us, and another one onto David, who had Kailey and Yukari tied up next to him. I looked in horror as I realized the plan failed, and now all of us were in danger, especially Kailey and Yukari. "Now I could just have all of you taken by force, but where's the fun in that," David gave us a sickening smile as he continued with his speech," how about we play a game instead! Oh, it will be so much fun! Okay here are the rules, it will be Max of lightning, Ross of wind, Shelby of fire, Scott of ice, Lizzie of water, Joel of Earth, Cory of weapons, Nick the demon, Derek of canceling, and Kailey of invisibility against my army, sound good?"

"What about Yukari? She's one of us so she should be on our team," I shouted up to David, who laughed and sneered at me.

"She won't be playing. She's been so awful and disobedient that I've decided she's run out of chances. So instead I'll give her a somewhat quick and painful death," David removed Yukari's gag and began to pull a knife out of his pocket. "I mean, it's only fair. She's been so bad, disobeying me and helping you. Plus it will stop her from having to suffer through what you all will once you lose, so really, she's getting the easy way out."

"No!" Kailey began screaming as David plunged the knife into Yukari. Yukari looked at Kailey and smiled.

"It's okay, I deserve this. I've been a horrible person and hurt so many others. It's only fitting I die the way I made so many other people. Don't worry, I'll watch over you guys," Yukari let out a cough and gasped for breath. She let out a few more gasps before her chest fell for the last time, and her eyes glazed over. She was truly gone.
