We were sitting on the rooftop. It was dark outside, so that we could see the city lights.
"So why are you here? Not to be mean or anything but you look so normal, Not like the rest." I said.
He looked at me and chuckled.
"Yeah, well, I'm good at hiding it." He said.
I looked at him, waiting for him to tell me.

My older sister, Liz, and I came from school like we did every day, and I know what would happen if I came home that day.
"Are you ready?" She asked, looking at me when we stepped out of the car. I nodded, and we when inside.
"Your both late!" She yelled as we walk through the door.
And with her, I mean my aunt. She looked at us while walking back in fore in front of us.
"W-were s-sorry, Mr. Lewis wanted to talk to me about some homework," Liz said quietly.
My aunt stopped walking and slapped my sister across the cheek.
I rush to her side while she cups her cheek with her hand.
"Don't speak until I say you can, and don't lie about homework. You were with him to do other stuff. You're just like your mother." She yelled at Liz.
You see, we moved here since my mom died a year ago. I was sixteen, and my sister was eighteen. We still have a dad, and we loved him, and he loved us, but he is in the military, so he's gone a lot. We don't say anything to our dad because we don't want him to be unhappy, like when mom died.
We moved in with our mom's sister and her boyfriend. In the beginning, everything was fine. But after a month, things change. They were both drunk most of the day, they would beat us over some silly things, or they would give us no food for a week. They locked our door at night, so we don't run away. Yeah, my sister and I share a room if you want to know.
We hate it here. They treat us terribly.
"Both of you to your room, no dinner tonight." She said, walking away back to the TV.
"Come before we get in more trouble," I said, walking upstairs to our room. She followed and went straight to bed because we were both tired. I lay my head on the pillow and fall asleep.
We woke up by a door slamming open downstairs.
"What's time is it?" Liz asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Four in the morning," I said, lying back down. I was almost back asleep when suddenly our bedroom door swung open. Our aunt's boyfriend walks inside, bringing the smell of alcohol with him inside. Our aunt walks inside, who was drunk as well.
She grabs my sister by her hair and throws her on the ground.
" Leave her alone." I yell, running to her, but the boyfriend grabs me and throws me on the ground kicking me in my back and stomach." No, don't hurt him." Liz yelled at him. I couldn't move from the pain.
