Lauren
She wasn't mine.
She didn't love me.
She didn't want me.
She wanted somebody else.
And it wasn't me.
These thoughts went over and over in my head as the night went on, Dinah avoiding me at all costs. When we had came back in, things had gone back to normal and no one paid attention to me or her. They knew what would happen if they did, at least, I did.
When I told her to go, she tried to argue but I was done. When I looked at her, all I saw was the dead men laying at her feet. She was evil. Dinah Jane was evil and I knew this.
Why had I ever loved her was a question that still lingered in my thoughts as I watched her dance with her girlfriend.
I hated her. She had hurt me, countless times, and I was done with all of it. I was done with her bullshit.
I wanted her gone, I wanted to be gone. I wanted to leave, I wanted to forget about this world, and I wanted this stupid scar off of my body. I wasn't hers! I was my own human being and I wouldn't stop till I could truly feel that way in my heart.
"Can you help me get to the bathroom, Lo?" Camila yanked me from my thoughts and I looked at her, smiling at the smaller girl. She was wearing an elegant red dress that made her look absolutely stunning. Not that she needed a fancy dress to make her beautiful, she was already that.
"Of course," I nodded and held out my arm for her to her take.
Her hand clasped around my bicep as she held on, letting me guide her through the crowd and to the restrooms. Music played loudly as people waltzed, my eyes searching through the crowd for Dinah.
She was dancing with Mariah, her gaze happy and cheerful as she spun her girlfriend around as they danced in the center. I could feel the jealousy in my gut as I glared, feeling myself become angry.
"Is this classical music?" Camila asked, thankfully, pulling me from my thoughts of killing the blond girl who was holding onto her new lover as if she was the very first.
"Yeah," I tried to get on my tippy toes, trying to see where the restrooms were.
"Jeez, you'd think we were in the Renaissance century if it weren't for the loud speakers killing my ears," Camila commented and I found myself laughing lightly at her statement before spotting the sign for the bathrooms.
"I think I found them. Hang on, okay?" I said and Camila nodded, her grip tightening as I moved through the thick crowd and to the other side of the room.
"Oof," I groaned as someone elbowed me in my stomach, my skin and muscles still sensitive to the touch. I felt Camila's hand slip off my arm and I coughed, feeling like I couldn't breathe.
"Lauren?!" I could here her voice and quickly felt her hands on my ankles, making me look down. I frowned and immediately helped her stand up, getting her through the crowd.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I pushed open the door to the restrooms and guided her towards a stall.
"Yeah. I'm okay. Thank you," she answered and reached out, grabbing the handle of the stall and getting in. "Can you wait for me?"
"Of course," I replied and walked to the sinks, examining my wake up to make sure nothing was messed up. I groaned at the sight of my eyeliner smudged a bit at the bottom of my eye and used my finger to fix it before looking back to the mirror.
