Once our jet finally touched down, I was the only one still awake. I woke Solo and Shawn up and we climbed into the back of a limo that was going to take us to a hotel not too far from Shawn's mother's house. Once we got into the limo, Solo laid down and went back to sleep and Shawn just held me close and laid his head in my neck. I was too excited to sleep. Once we reached the hotel, we all walked to the elevator and traveled to the top floor which was the President Suite. I had gotten this because Shawn was going to be staying with me throughout my shows for New York until we reached L.A. again and I didn't want me, Solange, and Shawn all piled into just an average hotel room. I didn't want to make Solo uncomfortable with me and Shawn's extracurricular activities. Solange went off to bed and so did Shawn so I walked into the kitchen to call his mother like I had promised him I would do for him if he was too tired. I picked up my cell phone and dialed Gloria's number. She answered on the third ring.
"Hey baby." She said into the phone and I could tell that she had been asleep. I instantly felt bad.
"Its Bee mom, Shawn was a little exhausted from the flight so I decided to call you so you wouldn't worry." I said into the phone as I grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Oh thank you Bee because I was just about to call that boy. So will you and Shawn come by tomorrow or will your day be packed with preparation for your show?" She asked me. I smiled.
"No ma, I don't have anything to do tomorrow for the show. If and when Solo and that son of yours plans on getting up I will let them know and I will call you back and tell you then." I told her thinking of what Shawn would have to say.
"No don't do that baby. You enjoy your day with Shawn and I will just see you tomorrow night for dinner at my house. Ya'll are going to be in New York for a couple of days and I know how long it has been since you and Shawn have spent time together so I won't interfere." She said with a little giggle and I could tell that she had a smirk on her face.
"Thanks mom. Dinner it is." I said with a smile on my face.
"Well go ahead and get some sleep because I know you are tired from your show last night. Shawn called me and told me how brilliantly you did." She said. I couldn't help but blush by the compliment. Shawn's mother had no idea the transformation that I make when I get on stage. It's like another person takes over my body.
"Yeah, it was a good show. And yea I do need to get some shut eye. I love you and I will see you tomorrow for dinner." I said into the phone. She said the same and then she hung up. I opened the refrigerator and leaned in looking for something to snack on when I felt hands encircle my waist. I gasped.
"Shawn...you scared me!" I said turning around and slapping his chest.
"I'm sorry baby. I couldn't sleep with you not beside me." He said pulling me close and placing kisses all over my neck.
