I woke up pretty early this morning hoping that last night wasn't a dream and that Shawn had really come back to me. When I opened my eyes, I could see a sleeping Shawn. I instantly smiled, knowing that everything was going to be fine. I slid quietly out of bed and tiptoed downstairs. I wanted to do something special for Shawn to show him how much I loved him. I decided to sneak out and get him something. After my little shopping trip, I returned to the house to find Shawn still asleep. I decided to go ahead and cook him his favorite breakfast: blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and orange juice. I decided it was time to wake up Shawn so I went into the bedroom and kissed his lips gently.
"Hmm?" Shawn grumbled without opening his eyes at first.
"Baby, get up because I have a surprise for you." I said while trying to pull him out of bed by his hand. He opened his eyes and smiled at me.
"What you got baby?" He said while snatching me down on top of him and kissing me deeply.
"You won't know until you get up." I said poking my lips out before pecking his lips one more time and standing back up.
"Ok....alright I'm up." Shawn said getting out of bed with just his boxers on. The look of his body was turning me on so I decided to set up my little surprise downstairs. By the time I fixed both of our plates, orange juice, and I set my gift on the table in front of his plate, Shawn walked downstairs shirtless with some basketball shorts on. When he walked into the dining room a smile quickly formed on his face.
"What's all this for Mrs. Carter?" He asked as he walked up to me and pulled me close to him with his hands around my waist. He pecked my lips and took in the sight of my surprise.
"To show you that you are all that I will ever need and want and to apologize for my selfish ways. I prayed for someone like you all my life and I am honored to be carrying your child and to one day be your wife. I had to make things right because I know that you think there are things that are unsaid, and I know that there are things that may not have been talked about but our actions speak so much louder than our words." I said while wrapping my arms around his neck. He looked down at me and just smiled before kissing me passionately.
"Well show me what you did for me baby." He said.
"Really....we are good?" I asked him trying to hold in a giggle.
"Girl you know damn well I can't stay mad at you. I'm here now...I want to put this whole thing behind us. You didn't even have to do this. I'm so happy that I'm going to be a father!!!" Shawn said picking me up in his arms and spinning me around. I laughed out loud and held on until he placed my feet on the floor. I took his hand and led him to the table. He pulled me down onto his lap so I handed him his bag of gifts that I had put together just for him.
"Open it!" I said to him and he just chuckled. He looked inside the bag and pulled out the pair of black and purple Jordan's that he had wanted that had just came out. He looked at them before grabbing me and kissing me deeply.
