Naruto: hey princess. You still awake?

Hinata's phone vibrated and she moaned a bit as she cracked open an eye and reached for said phone on the bedside table. She unlocked it and gave a half smile as she saw that it was her beloved boyfriend...

Hinata: hi naruto kun. Technically no but you woke me up. 😓

Naruto: opps sorry princess. I just wanted to tell you that I'm out with sasuke at the park near our school.

Hinata: you could just have said that right from the start naruto kun, 😅

Naruto: I could but I just miss my princess and wanted to see my luck whether she will reply me back, 😉

Hinata: I miss you too naruto kun... what's up by the way? Why does sasuke wanna go to the park at this timing with you? Is something wrong?

Hinata waited for around a minute before Naruto finally replied.

Naruto: nothing's wrong princess. He's the one with problems and stressed out about something. He wanted to tell me so we're meeting up.

Hinata breathed out a sigh of relief as she typed back her reply.

Hinata: oh ok... take care and don't come back too late naruto kun, love you... 💋

Naruto: don't worry princess. I'll text you once I'm home okay. Don't wait up for me. Good night. I love you too hinata chan, 😘

Naruto sighed as he slipped his phone into his pocket and sat down on the swing beside Sasuke. Sasuke was already seated on his swing and he was happily sipping on a venti cup from Starbucks.

"Done?" Sasuke asked as Naruto sighed again and buried his face into both his hands...

"What do I do Sasuke..." he whispered as Sasuke took another sip and stared at the dark lake in front of them.

"Tell her the truth." he said simply.

Naruto's head whipped to face the Uchiha.

"You can't be serious?!? I don't even know how to handle the news when Karin and Nagato told me! How on earth do I expect Hinata chan to accept the news calmly?!?"

"So you rather continue your relationship without telling her?"

"Well... I thought that might work out..." Naruto shrugged as he looked down at the sand pit of the playground...

"Till when dobe? Till she finds out for herself?" Sasuke said sharply, causing Naruto to look up at his friend again. "Naruto, you're gonna regret it if you choose this decision."

"Karin and Nagato are trying their best to prevent her from flying here to Tokyo and finding me! In the meantime I'll figure something out so I'll be prepared when she arrives!" Naruto tried protesting but Sasuke sighed as he took a long sip from his Starbucks.

"No Naruto. For you to be prepared is for you to tell Hinata what's going on. She'll never forgive you if she knows you're hiding this news."

"But... But... She might also leave me since I made such a stupid decision that night..." Naruto whispered as Sasuke hn-ed and looked up at the night sky.

"She won't leave you Naruto. She'll even help you out, trust me on this. Tell her tomorrow." Sasuke said softly as Naruto continued staring at his friend.

"Why do you care so much about my relationship with Hinata Sasuke?" Naruto suddenly asked.

"I'm your best friend am I not?"

"Yea but you seem to care about how fragile Hinata chan is..."

"No dobe. I know Hinata's fragile but I care about YOU. We both lost our parents due to the same murder case. I'll always remember that's how we got connected, at the court as me, Itachi and you were brought in to have our parents' will read out. But you know what? At least I still have my elder brother, Itachi, to care for me. Yea Jiraiya took you in but it's not the same as having your own blood around... For once, I see you getting your life back on track. You don't fuck girls around anymore and Hinata makes you smile all the time. It's not that Hinata needs you, it's you who needs Hinata Naruto. Always remember that." Sasuke finished as he took a last sip and shook his cup before standing up.

Naruto was speechless as he listened to Sasuke's thoughts...

"Where are you going teme?" the blonde finally spoke to his best friend who was already walking away.

"To throw the cup away. And go home. Sakura is waiting up for me though I told her not to." Sasuke said simply as Naruto too stood up.

"Fine.... I'll do it Sasuke." Naruto made his decision.

"Hn."
