//Carl's POV
I was reading a comic book in my room when I heard my door open.
I looked up to see my dad, staring at me with an accusing glare.
Pushing myself up to a sitting position, I didn't bother to hide the annoyance in my voice.
"What?" I asked shortly. Him and I still haven't really talked since our fight yesterday.
He rolled his eyes before sighing.
"Maggie and I were talking and she said that Enid came home and immediately walked into her room, slammed the door, and hasn't come out since," he explained, anger in his voice. "Would you happen to know anything about why she's acting like this?"
"Wait," I put my hand up. "She's living with Glenn and Maggie now?"
"Yes," my dad answered. "But don't do that. Answer the question. Do you know why she's acting weird?"
I looked at him blankly for a moment before shaking my head. "Nope," I denied. "No idea."
He gave me a disapproving look.
After a few seconds under his sharp eyes, I sighed and looked down.
"I really messed up, Dad," I mumbled.
He exhaled and sat down at the end of my bed, keeping his eyes on me.
I looked up and told him everything. Everything that has happened to me since night where Glenn almost died. Well...almost everything. I didn't tell him about how Tess harmed herself. That seemed like a secret that was meant for me. Only me.
When I got done, my dad just stared at me, a tired expression on his face.
"So it wasn't Tess that attacked?" he asked.
I shook my head. "No," I denied. "It was Negan."
He lowered gaze, obviously feeling guilty.
"I really messed up with Enid," I continued. "I don't know what to do."
He sighed and looked at me. "Well, you're best friends, aren't you?" he asked. "Just talk to her."
I wasn't sure why, but the term "best friends" sounded wrong.
"Yeah," I breathed, choosing to ignore it.
He nodded and grunted as he stood up. He walked towards the door.
"Dad?" I called.
He stopped and turned to face me.
"I'm sorry," I said sincerely. "About everything."
He pursed his lips. "I'm sorry, too," he replied. "I should've known you wouldn't betray us. That one's on me."
When I didn't respond, he showed a sad smile. "Guess both of us have gotten pretty shaken up."
I nodded, agreeing with him.
"But we're gonna get through it, alright son?"
"Yeah," I breathed, honestly believing it.
My dad walked out and I was left with one thought on my mind.
I gotta talk to Enid.
