//Rick's POV
As we drove to Negan's compoud, I glanced at the people around me.
Enid was looking around at everyone. My son's head was on her shoulder, asleep. When she saw me looking, she glanced down at Carl before blushing slightly and looking away. Carl claimed that they were just friends but I could tell they liked each other. It was obvious.
Daryl simply sat hunched over in his chair, cleaning his arrows. He had a somber look on his face. I could tell he really missed Carol. I just hoped Morgan found her.
Rosita cleaned her gun while Eugene watched over his shoulder.
Aaron sat with his head leaning against the window. It turned out that Eric was gone on a run when all of us came back so they haven't gotten to see each other in a while.
I sighed and looked at Michonne, who was sitting next to me, and reached over, grabbing her hand. She looked at me in surprise before smiling.
//Enid's POV
I was looking around at everyone before making eye contact with Rick. I saw a small smile come on his face when he saw Carl asleep on my shoulder. I blushed slightly and looked away.
Almost without thinking, I slightly put my hand on Carl's leg.
As I stared out the window, I suddenly felt Carl jerk against me.
I sharply looked over to see him running his eyes, keeping his head on my shoulder and taking deep breaths.
"Nightmare?" I simply asked.
Lifting his head up, he slowly nodded. "I dreamt that no one saved us," he mumbled. "Negan brought Glenn into the center. He brought his bat down on Glenn's head. There was so much blood, Enid. Bits of his skull and his brain were flying everywhere. Maggie was screaming and crying. And all Negan did was laugh."
Carl almost went on but I took his hand and squeezed it, causing him to look up at me.
"Glenn's still alive," I assured him. "Him, Maggie, Abraham, and Sasha are at Hilltop. They're safe."
Carl looked at me for a moment before nodding and putting his head on my shoulder again, taking shuddering breaths.
I lightly put my head on top of his and took his hand, intertwining our fingers.
I watched out the window as we pulled up and stopped in front of a large gate.
After a few moments, we heard banging on the door and Negan shout, "Get out!"
We all filed out of the RV.
Carl and I didn't let go of each other's hands.
//Rick's POV
I felt worse and worse the closer we got to Negan's compound. I kept a firm grip on my gun.
Daryl came up next to me. "You alright?" he asked, seeming like he already knew the answer.
"I have a bad feeling about this place," I answered quietly. "Do you think Tess actually did tell him to do this?"
Daryl opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Negan.
"Alright everyone!" he called, making us look at him. "Welcome to my home! Wipe your feet at the foyer, please and thank you!"
Daryl and I exchanged uneasy looks before all of us followed him inside.
//Tess's POV
I watched from behind a tree as Rick's group followed Negan into his compoud.
My thoughts were bent on chewing Negan out the next time I saw him. I knew he was doing everything he could to find loopholes in the deal so made them make.
My eyes scanned the group before they landed on Carl. He was walking at the back of the group with a girl around our age. She was definitely not in Negan's lineup a few days ago. I would've noticed. Her long brunette hair blew a little in the soft breeze. They're hands were loosely intertwined.
I looked down and scoffed before looking back up quickly and turning around, heading back over to my motorcycle and driving back home.
