Melanie Reed:

“Ready?”

“I’m as ready as I’ll ever be,” I said with a smile on my face.

“I didn’t really get the chance to tell you earlier but you look beautiful today.” He said a bit slowly and a tiny bit awkwardly. It was kind of like he wasn’t sure if it was okay for him to say. It was a bit strange to see him this way as he’s always so confident with what he says. Needless to say, it was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.

“But Harry, I look like this every day” I said as I felt my cheeks beginning to flush red.

“Well yeah, that’s because you look beautiful every day.”

“Umm thank you. So do you.” I said with a smile.

“Thanks,” he said with a small laugh.

“So where are we going?”

“I’m not telling you. It’s a surprise.”

“But Harry, I don’t like surprises.” I said in a bit of a whine.

“You’re just going to have to trust me. I’m almost positive you’ll love this one. Well, you might not but whatever. Oh and before I forget.” He reached behind my seat and grabbed something, “put this on.”

Harry Styles:

“So, is the blindfold really necessary?” She asked making the cutest pouting face ever.

“Yes, don’t worry; we are almost there.”

She’s been trying to get answers and figure out where we were headed the entire ride here. I know she has probably been here before but I haven’t so I wanted to bring her.

People were giving me a bunch of weird looks as they passed me on the freeway. Possibly because of the girl sitting next to me with a blindfold on. They probably think I’ve kidnapped her or something but who cares. I sure as hell don’t care what they’re thinking. They need to mind their own business and look at the road ahead of them instead of my passenger seat.

I took my exit and kept driving until I reached our destination.

The sign was now in clear and plain sight so I reached over and took the blindfold off of her.

She looked beyond excited. It was kind of scaring me.

“Finally; gosh, I swear I was going craz-” she paused and looked at the sign ahead of her, “Malibu Creek! Seriously?”

“Yes, is that okay or? I could turn around and we could go somewhere else if you’d like.”

“No! This is perfect. I’ve always wanted to come here but I never had the chance to. I was supposed to come years ago but there was a change of plans so I didn’t.”

I reached the area we were going to be in and parked my car. I got out and went around to open her door.

“Gosh, I wish I had known. Why didn’t you tell me? I could have brought my camera, and my art supplies. You should have said something!”

“Well, luckily for you, I brought a few supplies.” I said as I walked over to my trunk pulling her along with me.

“Whoa,” she said with a smile.

We took everything out and set up our camp site. I told her of my plans and that it was up to her if we were going to stay the night or just leave after we were through with the day. She decided that she wanted to stay.

“Hey, you know, I bet people saw you and thought you kidnapped me and were planning to murder me then dump my body somewhere in this state park. And I bet you anything that someone called the cops about your suspicious behavior.”
