Melanie Reed:
"Melanie?"
Harry? What is he doing here? How did he even get in? I thought I locked the door.
Wait, how did he even know I was in here?
"Melanie? Are you in here?" I heard him ask again this time sounding a lot closer than before.
I can't even believe that he's in here; I never let anyone in here. I mean, I really don't mind that he's in here, which is weird to me but I really don't let anyone in here.
I was sitting in the corner of what was my photography room. I just sat there crying wishing I had gone into the closet, which I had converted into a dark room to develop films.
I caught a glimpse of him as he walked past the room I was in. He was walking straight to the music room. Yes, I have a music room in my 'art studio.' No need to question the fact that I enjoy music almost as much as I enjoy art. But Harry definitely doesn't need to know that.
I quickly got up to stop him from going in but it was too late. By the time I walked into the hallway, he was already inside.
"What are you doing in here?" I asked in between sniffles.
"Looking for you." he said without turning back to look at me. He was walking around looking at all the instruments and equipment and touching everything.
"I thought you said that you didn't play." He said as he finally turned around and looked at me.
I was at a loss of words but was able to come up with something quickly. "I don't, I uh this was my grandma's stuff and I decided to keep it."
It wasn't a complete lie. This really was my grandma's stuff but she let me have it long before she died. She's the one that taught me everything I know about music. But of course, I will not be bringing that up.
"Right," he said almost as if he didn't believe my lie. "Well I came to look for you. I'm sorry about that. I'm not used to having someone to comfort. I'm not used to telling people about my parents. Well, I'm not used to talking to people about anything really. And seeing your parents made me worry a bit. I thought you had only invited me to show your family off, I never knew you had so much going on." He said.
"It's okay; nobody knows besides you." I said as I walked out of the room. He quickly followed me out.
"I'm sorry for what I said during dinner. I didn't think you would take it seriously. I don't think you're a mistake; and I definitely don't regret it. I just had to say something. Your parents don't seem to like me very much, so I thought that was the easiest thing to say to them. And I'm sorry. I think you're pretty amazing and I am glad I kissed you. I wasn't too happy they walked in. I wasn't done. I hope you haven't changed your mind about that date." He said rather quickly.
"Of course I haven't. I thought you did since you hadn't brought it up since then." I said.
"Nope," he said looking me in the eyes then down at my lips then back into my eyes. He licked his lips and said, "I want to kiss you again."
"Then do it. Kiss me." I was surprised at myself for even saying that but I was glad I did.
Almost immediately, I felt his lips against mine. I knew that now we wouldn't be interrupted. Nobody ever comes in here. They all know that they need to stay out.
His lips were soft and warm. I loved the feeling of them on mine. It was sensational. It was like they were meant to be combined the way they are right now.
I felt his tongue graze my bottom lip. And I was completely unaware of what to do. The truth is, I've never actually kissed anyone. I was so used to only quick pecks but that was never the case with Harry. The second I felt his tongue again, I opened my mouth slightly and was completely surprise to have his tongue dart right in. I didn't exactly know what to do, but as soon as I allowed my tongue to move against his, we stopped.
