Chapter 34 (One-Shot)

I'm really sorry, guys! I knew I was forgetting something!! Here's a (late) Valentine's Day chapter!

~BIRDFLASH~

Richard Grayson was getting used to his new life at Gotham Academy. (remember a few chapters back where I mentioned he started going there? I guess I forgot to mention some details and a bunch of people commented sooo. It's not that interesting but here ya go)

He had begun going to the academy because, well, Bruce funds the school so why would his very own ward not go? Of course, it was only temporary. It's a bit hard to explain, and Bruce really did explain it, shame he wasn't paying attention. Batman is Batman, though, so he probably had good reasoning.

Dick hadn't realized he had been spacing out, thinking about how he ended up there, and accidentally walked directly into Barbara. Why was he thinking about this again?

She put a hand on her hip. "What is going on in your mind?"

"Hell if I know." He signed as the two started walking again.

The school day was already over and the two were heading towards the gate. (Wall? Fence?? School surrounding thing)

"Umm.. Dick?" Barbara spoke up.

He looked up from the ground, having been watching every step. "Hmm?"

"Look!" She pointed towards the entrance.

He did as he was told and saw a.. Giant teddy bear?

Dick turned to Barbara with a befuddled look and waved a goddbye. (Befuddled is such a silly word. BBEEEEFUUDDDLEEDD)

As he approached the stuffed creature, the person holding it made the bear wave and said, in an absolutely ridiculous voice, "Richard J. Grayson, will you be my Rawrentine?"

The plushie was lowered a bit to reveal Wally's smiling face.

"Do bears even roar?" The ward signed.

"Shut up!" Wally groaned. There wasn't any bite to his tone though. "They so do!" His voice had a hint of a whining tone.

Dick laughed and Wally handed over the bear. The speedster got a peck on the cheek and he grinned as he said, "I'll take that as a yes then!~"

The other rolled his eyes, still smiling. "Did you even have to ask?" His face basically said.

They shared a kiss before lacing their fingers.

The two started walking when Dick stopped; he looked like he was staring at something.

Wally followed his line of sight and spotted Barbara.

The ward explained, "At the rate she usually walks, she should've already been gone."

Wally huffed a laugh, she must've been eavesdropping. He didn't blame her; if he wasn't dating Richard and someone suddenly shows up with a giant plush for him, Wally would totally eavesdrop too.

They continued walking again.

Yeah, pretty short. It's kinda hard to write up a chapter when there are 2 people having a conversation at the same time that two different playlists are playing. ^^;

Dick's ringtone went off (CHERITZ!) in the middle of the night. Out of habit, he practically lunged at his phone, waking up Wally.

The speedster looked to his boyfriend, he looked like he was texting or something, though he wasn't really typing much.

"What are you doing awake at this time?" Wally mumbled out.

He looked over the other's shoulder.

Is he.. flirting with that red headed guy??

The younger looked up from his phone; he looked like he was ready to cry, which startled Wally.

His hands trembled as he signed.

"Seven. is. so. precious." He sniffled.

Seven? Wait, that sounded familiar..

Wally suddenly remembered.

"Is he that character from that Mystic Messenger game?"

The other nodded. "Valentine's day update."

"You're basically cheating on me with fictional characters." Wally joked before wrapping his arms around the other and pulling him back onto the bed.

He made himself comfortable and tried to go back to sleep, ignoring Dick's fanboying, already used to this.

And that's it for the extra. Anyone else play Mystic Messenger here? Seriously, I'm obsessed with the app. OBSESSED.
