Chapter 36: Image (Part 2)

Whoops! Haven't moved the one-shots yet. I thinnk most of you voted for having the one-shots in a seperate "book" from the story.

Although summer started a few weeks ago, I've been taking an online class so I havent reeally gotten the chance to update much; sorry.

~BIRDFLASH~

As everyone was walking, with Garfield in the lead, a monkey jumped onto Superboy before leaping onto Kid Flash and then hopping onto Garfield's shoulder.

When the monkey had jumped on KF, he was so startled, he cried out "Hey! Get it off!"

(KF was lowkey moping; that ape just stole his protein bar!!)

Garfield laughed. "It's okay! Meet Monkey!"

"Good name." Obviously, Superboy would say that (What with Wolf and Sphere). "But I hate monkeys."

Robin snickered when Monkey threw the protein bar at Superboy and screeched. Guess it was mutual.

KF turned to the Boy of Steel and told him in a semi-serious tone, "Dude, be glad he only threw a protein bar."

~BIRDFLASH~

As they entered the house, Garield tried to make some small talk as the BirdFlash duo sat down at the same time. (Superboy stayed standing cuz he's too cool for couches, apparentally)

"So, pretty weird about Miss Martian and my mom, huh?"

Superboy crossed his arms and asked what he meant.

"I mean, she looks EXACTLY like Marie. You know, except greener." Garfield clarified.

"She does?" KF chipped in, interested in the conversation.

"Well, duh! Especially back when mom was a TV star on 'Hello, Megan!'"

Robin was frowning deeply. How did he not notice?! He was a bat for pete's sake! (Well.. Robin, technically)

"Wait, 'Hello, Megan' is a TV show?" KF looked at Robin to see if he knew.

Judging by his frown, he clearly thought that was just Miss M's catchphrase.

Garfield continued explaining that "Hello, Megan!" was said a lot ON the TV show. (Lots of emphasis on the "on")

The boy continued, "Way before we were born. Only one season. You can't even find it online!"

He looked over at where they kept their tapes.

~BIRDFLASHHHHHH~ (Accidentally kept my finger on the H button while looking for the ~ button but I guess I'll just leave it XD)

Miss Martian was trying to show off to her idol as she used her telekinesis to quickly build a fence.

"Well, you're certainly a time saver," Marie didn't sound too impressed.

Miss M couldn't stop her fagirling and had to ask what it was like for Marie to play as Megan.

Marie didn't sound that happy talking about it but Miss M continued fangirling.

"Listen, 'Hello, Megan' was a job. The person you saw on TV, isn't who I am." Marie didn't think she'd have to explain to someone how she wassn't a TV chaacter.

Miss M couldn't help but feel disappointed as she looked down.

~BIRDFLASH~

While Garfield was going through the tape collection, KFand Robin just had a small conversatio that somehow led up to, "...Imagine if, in some other universe, you were dating Artemis!" Robin snickered as he signed.

Wally did not look amused, in fact, he seemed to think about it for a mere second before a look of terror appeared on his face.

"I think I'd die!" He gasped out.

Superboy didn't seem to pay attention to them as he just watched Garfield sort through the pile.

He finally held up a tape as he announced that he found the pilot episode.

"Whoa! You still have VHS," He couldn't help his remark, "Where's your 8-track?"

Superboy suddenly turned dramatically and said he heard an aircraft.

Forgetting about everything else, the heroes stood up and ran out.

Robin made sure to give Garfield a gesture to stay put while the other just stared at him, eyes wide and mouth agape.

Miss M and Marie were near the door when they ran out.

Before Miss M could ask, they spotted the aircraft as it started firing at them.

Miss M tackled Marie out of the way an dSuperboy shielded the two.

"He's inside!" KF butted in when Marie asked about her son.

She looked at them like they were idiots.

In the barn, across the field, the doors opened to reveal Garfield. (It also released some animals)

He shouted to his mom. "It's okay! I got the animals out!"

The aircraft shot at the barn and it must of hit something explosive because the barn blew up.

Superboy held Marie back from going into the aircraft's range of fire as Miss M flew towards the barn and caught Garfield, who was no longer conscious. He was still definitely alive, though.

Miss M and Superboy took off as Marie turned to Robin and shouted angrily, "I told you there'd be consequences!"

He thought always. He couldn't help but think back to the failsafe. He shook his head and gestured for them to get inside and take cover.

(I typed aircraft earlier but there were 3, I was just too lazy to pluralize stuff)

Superboy and Miss Martian took care of the aircrafts.

~BIRDFLASH~

KF entered the room Garfield was lying in. Marie had said Garfield was in shock and in need for a blood transfusion.

Robin continued frowning and shook his head when she asked if any of them had o negative blood.

KF offered to run him to the nearest hospital but Robin signed that, even at Kid Flash's top speed, the nearest hospital with an o negative blood supply was 30 minutes away.

Miss Martian finally spoke up, saying she might be ale to help using her shape-shifting abilities.

She said she'd need to concentrate with no distractions. Marie instantly yelled for everyone to get out.

Sorry for the short chapter but it's like 1 am and my wrists are cramping. I'll continue the next chance I get and I'll try to go through the comments soon.

(Though I wish Wattpad organized the notifications better so it'd be easier to go through comments.. I tend to miss a lot of the comments because it's so disorganized and overwhelming)
