Larry POV

Larry: Who?
Kina: Jordan...
Larry: Do you want to elaborate on that?

She looked down at her hands for a moment before looking up to the window where Dr. Lynn was. She opened her mouth to speak and looked down again. Then Dr. Lynn came over the intercom in the room.

Dr. Lynn: Kina, you can leave now if you're ready.

I was highly surprised to hear her say that. I looked at her through the glass feeling like there's something I'm missing. Kina slowly got up and walked out of the room. Not once did she offer me an explanation or even a glance at that. She just got up and walked away.

Author POV
Kina walked passed the observation room where Dr. Lynn was without looking up. She walked to the reception desk, signed out and went to get in her car. When she got in she broke down. She didn't expect to get to that topic until way later in her sessions. The idea that she received from Dr. Lynn was that they would work from her childhood up to present day. Knowing that there were so many unresolved issues that she needed help with, it helped to know that her current problems would be off her mind as they worked through the earlier ones.

-Back in the session room-

Larry sat with a dumbfounded look on his face after Kina was long gone. Why hadn't Dr. Lynn wrote something about this 'Jordan' person on the clipboard? Why didn't she speak into his earpiece to tell him to back off of the subject? Most importantly, what the fuck just happened? As he tried to wrap his mind around the situation, Dr. Lynn walked into the room. She had feared that this subject would come up too soon, but had no idea that it would come on only her second session. Dreading explaining the whole ordeal to Larry, she walked slowly, putting her words in order in her mind. When she reached the chair that Larry was sitting in, she sat in the chair that Kina once occupied. Looking over Larry's confused face made her regret not telling him everything before. After a soft sign, she spoke.

Doc: Larry, this is my fault. I'm sorry. I didn't prepare you adequately to handle this situation. I didn't think she'd trigger herself in that way. What just happened was in no way your fault.

Larry: What do mean trigger herself? Who is Jordan and why did she freak out like that? What did this guy do to her?

Larry felt a level of protectiveness for Kina come over him and Dr. Lynn sensed it right away. She questioned her initial assessment that he would make a good session aid to Kina, but knew this was bound to happened given their dynamic and his reaction during the first session. He genuinely wanted to help Kina. Of this, Dr. Lynn was sure. She pushed all thoughts of removing Larry as her aide and decided it was time to completely fill Larry in on Kina's file.

-Meanwhile with Kina-

After ten minutes of crying and rocking in her front seat, she finally mustered up the strength to drive home. Upon arrival, she stood outside of her building, just in front of the lift. Flashbacks of beautifully, blissful moments of love and happiness filled her mind. Her tears returned bringing in their wake a small smile. Kina knew that at some point she had been happy here. The memories of her happiness were abundant and everywhere she looked she could see that face that haunts her sweetest dream. Before she could have a full episode outside of her home, she entered the lift going up to her loft. A migraine accompanied her through the downstairs area into the kitchen for a glass of water. After a few sips, she made her way to the bathroom to grab some headache medicine. Something that hadn't occurred to her until this moment is that she didn't have her phone. I must have left it at the doctor's office she thought to herself. She whispered an expletive into the air, thinking about having to make the drive back down there. She could just wait until her next session, but she figured she should go ahead and get it in case she received a call.
