Chapter 24: A Needed Break

Author POV

Sun filters in through the blinds and curtains in Kina's room, giving it a golden glow. The light softly touches the two lovebirds still sleeping in bed. Larry has one arm under Kina's pillow and the other holding snugly around her chest. He stirs in his sleep blinking a few times before fully opening his eyes. He sees nothing but Kina's hair in his face. Softly smoothing it down away from his face he leans up to stare at her face. Her morning after glow ever present. He wanted to see those eyes look back at him. He starts softly nudging her face with his nose until she begins to wake up. He lays a soft kiss to her cheek and stays there as Kina softly groans at the feeling. He pulls away and there are those eyes. Looking up at him accompanied by the most beautiful smile. His smile widens as they bask in the quiet of the moment. Kina goes to part her lips but Larry bring a finger up to silence her. He just wants a few more minutes of how they are. Just staring at each other with all the love in the world in their eyes. He grabs one of her hands turning away from her gaze only to place a kiss in her palm before resting the hand at his cheek.

L- I could stay like this forever. I could die happy just like this.

Kina turns over fully so that she's facing Larry, intertwining their legs. She pulls Larry closer by the palm that he's still holding to his cheek. She pressed her lips to his bringing her other arm around his neck. They released with a soft pop.

K- So could I. Sometimes I wish I'd never have to see the world outside. I want to live in moments like this.

L- Exactly my thoughts. Well... now that we're awake what would you like for breakfast? Chef Larry is here to serve. *chuckles*

K- *giggling* Oh, Chef Larry huh?

L- Don't act so surprised. You know I used to chef it up back in my day.

K- Well what would the chef suggest?

L- I'm thinking pancakes with fresh strawberries, bacon and basted eggs.

K- That sounds delicious but not as delicious as you.

Larry's face turns a nice shade of pink as he look down at Kina incredulously. His lips slightly parted as he tries to piece together a comeback for her naughtiness.

L- Wow! I didn't know you were such a bad girl Kina. Here I thought you were all innocent. First you seduce me last night-

K- Hold on! Seduce you? Who woke me up at 2 am because he was horny?

L- Because you were throwing it back in your sleep. I wonder who you were dreaming about love?

K- Mmmm it was Michael Ealy's fine ass.

L- Ouch that hurts. I thought maybe just maybe my baby was thinking about me like I think about her but I guess not.

K- Oh stop it. I honestly can't remember much from before I woke up. All I know is that I remember everything about the way you touched me.

L- Yeah I must've worn you out. You fell asleep on me after that.

K- I felt so tired. *giggles* I was trying to wait for you to come back but my eyes got heavy and next thing I knew I was out like a light.
