Chapter 19: Intimacy

Kina POV

After Larry left I went to take a shower and get ready. I had really hoped to just lay down after that lovely experience but he was right. I have a session and our relationship isn't supposed to interfere with my sessions. Ugh! Why did he have to remind me?! I had honestly forgotten all about leaving my little slice of heaven at home. Well whatever let's get this over with. After I was dressed, I made myself some cereal and a small fruit salad. I was too excited to be hungry right now. Excited to see him after what we did. I'd probably never admit it to him but I'm also excited for more to happen. I'm just awkward about those topics. I don't know how to ask for what I want or what my body needs. You won't believe how long it's been since the last time anyone touched my flower petals.

I ate as best I could with my distracted mind before cleaning up my mess so I could leave. I locked up and headed for the car. Outside, the sun was shining bright. I got in the car and sped off to my session. Traffic was light despite the time of morning so I made it to there in no time. I looked around the parking lot for Larry's car and sure enough it was already parked. I still had a couple minutes to spare but I decided to just wait in the waiting room instead of outside.

I approached the desk and signed in with Charlotte. She gave me a fake smile in return. I just turned around and went to take a seat knowing she was just mad that I was with Larry. She could be mad and stay mad for all I care. Larry told me about their little argument so I just know it boils her blood to know he wants me. I would be petty but I'm not here for that. I'm here to work on myself. I busied myself with checking the notifications on my phone and answering emails, patiently waiting for Larry to come get me.

Larry POV

Man this morning was eeeeveerryyyttthhhiiinnnggg! I really didn't want to leave Kina's but she have an appointment today and I don't want her to miss it because of me. I hurried home after I left and got showered and changed. I made a quick breakfast panini and took it with me out the door. I didn't want to be late since Dr. Lynn and I definitely need to talk before Kina makes it there. I made it to the office fairly quickly. I walked inside passed the front desk and into the back area. I stood outside of Dr. Lynn's door trying to get my words together. After a deep breath, I knocked before opening the door and walking in.

Doc- *looks up* Good morning Larry.
L- Good morning Dr. Lynn. How are you?
Doc- I'm fine. *eyes Larry suspiciously* How are you doing today?
L- I'm good. *clears his throat nervously*
Doc- Are you going to say what's on your mind or should I start guessing?
L- Something sort of happened with Kina and I this morning.
Doc- This morning?
L- Yes, well... I think I should go back to last night and this should all make more sense.
Doc- I'm listening.
L- So last night I took Kina on our first real date. Everything was going great until when we were about to leave the restaurant because Kina saw Jordan.
Doc- Did they speak?
L- No, she took off at the sight of him. Plus he was with the same woman. I think she just didn't want him to see her cry.
Doc- She cried?
L- Yes, but when we got back to her place we talked and she seemed to feel better.
Doc- Okay good so what does that have to do with this morning?
L- Well you see after talking and watching a movie, she asked me to stay the night.
Doc- She did?
L- Yes. At first I thought it was because I told her I love her but she tell me it wasn't why she wanted me to stay. We also decide to not have sex yet.
Doc- So what happened?
L- I cuddled her to sleep.
Doc- This morning Larry? What happened this morning?!
L-*blushes* Oh! She kinda asked to see me naked, so once I was, I asked her to do the same thing.
Doc- Anything else?
L- And I ate her out...*looks anywhere but at Dr. Lynne*
Doc- Hmm. Did she participate?
L- What do you mean?
Doc- Did she do anything in return or react appropriately to your actions?
L- I mean she kissed me back and reacted to my touch. She wanted to return the favor but I felt like we had went far enough for now.
Doc- Hmm, interesting.
L- Why you say that?
Doc- You will see today during your session. Since Kina is now in a relationship, I feel we should touch on her intimacy issues.
L- Intimacy issues?
Doc- Yes. Kina used to have a very big problem with intimacy. In some ways, it parallels trust issues but this has more to do with her self worth.
L- You have a clipboard for this?
Doc- Of course. *surprised*
L- I want to read over it beforehand.
Doc- Ok.
