During charms class, Draco couldn't pay attention to what professor Flitwick was discussing knowing that he had changed time once more. He was supposedly about to put Hermione and her friends in danger by faking a midnight duel with Potter so he could be gone for good, and that Draco would get the recognition he had always wanted. Of course Harry believed it, and so he went. But Draco wasn't expecting to hear that Hermione had gone out with them too. So, he had to turn back time, all the way before he could even say a word to Harry.
His time turner wrapped around his neck but hidden under his clothes, painfully watching Hermione sit beside Ron and talking.
"Stop, stop! you're going to bat someone's eye out!" she spat, as she looked at Draco who was sitting across their table, Draco turned around to look at her.
"Besides, you're saying it wrong! It's wing-gar-dium levi-o-sa, make the gar nice and long."
"You do it then if you're so clever," Ron scoffed.
However, Draco did what Hermione had told Ron as well. He cleared his throat, stood well in his chair and said, "wingardium levio--" but before he could even finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Hermione who was the first one to lift the feather up in mid air.
"Miss Granger's done it!" said Professor Flitwick.
Draco once again snapped out of it, as he said the words, "Wingardium Leviosa" and his feather started rising up. "Look guys, look!" Draco called his seatmates, but everyone else was too busy with their own feathers they had to ignore him. But Hermione didn't, and she was looking at his feather drifting in mid-air. He must've listened to my instructions. Hermione smirked.
However Professor Flitwick did not pay attention to Draco's spell, because Seamus had blown himself just by trying to make his feather fly.
So Draco scoffed, his recognition was unnoticed once more, as Harry took Seamus to the hospital wing.
"That Potter ruins everything! I mean, you all have seen me do it, right? that was pretty cool, wasn't it?" Draco asked Crabbe and Goyle.
"Yeah but Seamus was really hurt"
"Oh piss off then!" Draco rolled his eyes, as the three were walking back to the common room, when suddenly someone had bumped into Draco.
"Hey! watch where you're--" he was cut off by the looks of the girl who had bumped her. the back of her brown bushy hair gave it away: it was Hermione, and he heard her crying.
"Boys, I'll catch up with you later," said Draco, as he low-key tries to follow her.
Hermione heads down to the girls' bathroom to cry in one of the stalls, because Ron had embarrassed her infront of the fellow gryffindors.
"Have you heard about Hermione earlier? that know-it-all brat" she heard a girl talking outside Hermione's stall.
"Yeah well she's annoying anyway. No wonder she hasn't got any girl friends"
"Oh please. I bet Harry was just friends with her because he pity her"
"Yeah but what about Malfoy? aren't they close?"
"Hermione's got a crush on him for sure. But obviously, she can't get him because she's a..." and then the conversations became inaudible, the bathroom was filled with laughter until it had turn into a complete silence.
That made Hermione stay in the stall longer, and once she noticed that it was silent again, she began to cry. Her cheeks turning completely red, her bushy brown hair had gotten in the way of her face, and tears were uncontrollably streaming from her eyes.
