From that moment on, the tree had become Draco's favourite spot. He'd lie his back there for hours, watching the kids pass by the courtyard, and maybe even bully them once in a while.
Until the day it wasn't the best time to hang around-- when he tried to bully Weasley, and almost had a fight with Harry, Professor Moody shown up, turning into a defenseless ferret. An actual white ferret, as Professor Moody bounces him up and down, gaining laughter from the crowd.
Hermione wasn't laughing at all, she was clutching her books, biting her lip, and already sweating, wanting Professor Moody to stop hurting Malfoy, but she couldn't; of course she wouldn't say it, they wouldn't even understand.
When Draco was back to his human body, he was frantic, all his clothes were loosen from him, and he was naked, but luckily his robes covered his lower body parts. Hermione's eyes widened, and she could see the panic and humiliation in his eyes, and what's more awkward is that his eyes met hers, in the worst timing ever.
He stood up quickly, mumbling under his breath, and was almost chased by Moody, gaining another laughter from the audience until he finally ran away.
Hermione was still speechless, feeling pity over Draco, when she looked back at Ron who was still laughing, she held her book and smacked it over his head and said, "Stop it, Ronald!"
"Stop what?" he asked in between his cackles.
"Stop laughing!" Hermione exclaimed, making everyone snap back at her and stared. Pansy and Blaise blinked their eyes at shock. Hermione rolled her eyes, scoffed and stormed back to the common room, as the two followed her behind.
"You shouldn't have encouraged Professor Moody to do that! it's against the rules!" said Hermione, but really all she cared at that moment was if Draco was all right afterwards.
"Don't talk to me," said Ron.
                              "Why not?!" she retorted.
"Because," He smirked. "I wanna fix that in my memory forever" he chuckled. "Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret" Harry laughed with him, and Hermione rolled her eyes.
"He could have really hurt Malfoy though, it was good, really, that Professor Mcgonagall stopped it--"
"Hermione! you're ruining the best moment of my life" said Ron.
Hermione rolled her eyes and groaned, standing up and making her way to the door.
"Don't tell me you're going back to the library this evening?" Harry asked.
"Got to, got loads to do"
"But you told us Professor Vector--"
"It's not schoolwork" said Hermione sharply, exiting the common room. When she had left, she took a deep breath, and walked down the halls before the curfew had started.
She wasn't really going to the library, surprisingly unlikely of Hermione to do so, but she wanted to see Malfoy, since he's got himself detention for what he'd done earlier. But where could Draco be?
Wait a minute, why am I going to see him anyway? Hermione blinked. No, no.. Go back, Hermione, go back to the common room. she said to herself, but continued walking as she tried restraining herself. You know what? okay, Hermione. Go help him, let's see if he cares. Just in time, since you've read about the yule ball maybe you can ask him on a dat e. NO! quit it. quit him.
When she tried her best to walk back, It was by sheer coincidence, that Draco was carrying a bunch of books from Moody's classroom, all the way back to the library. There he is Hermione, just do it. she said to herself, seeing that he was standing right in front of her from a distance. They both looked at each other for a few short seconds, until he decided to walk away.
