"Why did you kiss me?" Hermione was standing only a few feet away from Draco. He opened his mouth as to say something, but he quickly shuts it as he hesitated. "Why?" she repeated, now her voice had echoed across the empty first floor corridor, with the moon as their only light.
"I don't know" he sighed, his stormy grey eyes met her hazelnut ones.
"Well.." She stepped forward a little closer. "Why did you stop?" she asked.
"I don't know" his voice went a little silent this time, as if he wanted to close his eyes to forget that she was ever there. "Hey, open your eyes" she whispered, and when he did, her face were only inches apart from his, slowly, her lips made her way to his, placing a sweet and gentle kiss, making his heart race. "Hermione, I love you." he breathed out, running his fingers through her curly bushy hair, holding in back his tears.
"I know." she pulled away from him to look at his face. "I love you too," she said in a sincere manner, and finally his tears ran down from his pale skin. He loved her. and she loved him back.
It was all well and good. Until he was woken up by Theodore Nott, slamming a pillow against him.
"Come on, you lazy arse! wake up! you're late for breakfast!"
Draco groaned, and squinted his eyes. "What time is it?" he asked in a very raspy voice, his eyes drifted to close, and laid back in his pillow.
"Almost eight, now come on! Snape's not gonna be happy with you" said Theo.
"All right, all right, I'm up, now piss off" he cracked his neck, to stand up, making his way to the bathroom to clean up.
When he washed his face on the tap, he looked back at the mirror to see his face looked surprisingly healthier. He then went on to take a shower, hurrying down to their next class without having breakfast.
While at class, he somehow managed to pay his attention to the lesson Snape was giving them, but when Hermione stood up to answer a question, his head quickly turned to her, listening to every word she has to say.
Her voice, that sweet angelic voice. He just couldn't get enough of it. But he know he wasn't allowed to listen to her all the time, seeing her sit back along with Ron.
What happened to them last night drove him insane, as he drifts off on the next 30 minutes of class to daydream of the things that could have been.
He could see him and Hermione, walking down the halls, her arm wrapped around his and their fingers intertwined, laughing and talking about the most bizarre things they could possibly talk about. Regardless of the fact that there were a lot of students looking at them, they weren't against it. Even Ron Weasley smiled at the sight of them being together. The gryffindors and the slytherins were in good terms because of them. And there weren't any fights whatsoever. He was in love with her, and she was in love with him. It's fun to imagine things, don't you think?
Sometimes, even imaginations can hurt you and take you away from the cruel, loathsome reality you are in. But then he snapped out of his thoughts and wondered, if he was thinking about her again, why hasn't the curse spoken to him? shouldn't it be annoying him consantly? pinching his skin with pain? giving him the burning sensation?
Why is that all of a sudden when he looks at Hermione and think about her, he doesn't feel any pain anymore? Guessing the only pain he had felt was emotional, seeing her in the corner of the room, and not being able to talk to her like they did last night.
