When Draco returned to his respective class, Professor Quirrell had requested to get their partners because they will be learning how to do a jelly legs jinx, and the protego, to protect themselves from the jinx.
Pansy and Millicent became partners, Blaise and Draco, Crabbe and Goyle, Harry and Ron, and Hermione with Neville.
"w-w-wand at the ready!" said Professor Quirrell. "N-n-now, you need to ch-ch-choose between one only, either you t-t-take on the jelly legs j-jinx or the protego. r-ready? go!"
"Locomotor Wibbly!" said Hermione, and without a warning, Neville's legs started to wobble, making him fall down. "Help" said Neville.
"Hold on, let me check the book if there's a counter curse.." said Hermione.
"Hermione's done it! 5 points to g-gryffindor! Neville, w-w-work on your protego, Mr. L-longbottom"
"Will do, can you help me?" Neville pleaded.
"There's nothing in the book that says about its counter curse! we need to wait atleast ten minutes before it comes off" said Hermione
"Oh bollocks!" Neville sighed.
"Neville said a bad word!" Millicent exclaimed. "w-w-what did he s-say?"
"The B word!"
"t-ten points from gryffindor," said Professor Quirrell, making the other slytherins snigger.
Hermione glared at the slytherins, and Draco's smile had gone.
"Protego!" said Draco fiercly and quickly. "Nice" Blaise gave him a high five, as the slytherin receives five points, he looked at Hermione to see if she saw him do it. But she didn't, and had to take care of Neville whose legs were wobbly. Draco rolled his eyes, and continued on with their lesson.
After class, Hermione helped Neville stand up, and repeatedly saying sorry. Draco purposely stayed in the classroom with Crabbe and Goyle to boast about how he gained the slytherins fifteen points that day, hoping Hermione would hear it.
"Yeah, well. It's no big deal, I mean, fifteen points is still low for me. Atleast for me" Draco shrugged. He glanced at Hermione, but still she didn't listen.
"Yeah well, it's kind of a pity the gryffindors lost five points. If only I have the power to retrieve their points back"
Hermione had noticed that Draco was boasting, and so she rolled her eyes, pretending that she doesn't see him. Crabbe and Goyle exchanged looks and said, "is this about.." Crabbe motioned over to Hermione who had already left the classroom. "Oh forget it" Draco scoffed, walking out.
