Draco Malfoy was nothing but a bully. A mean, bratty, slytherin boy who wanted attention.
Atleast, that's what they say.
and atleast, that's what his curse wants you to think.
It was 1994, they were all in coming fourth years, and yet around even in just short years, Everyone has been through all the tough times a lot. One of which was Draco's problems, around his family, and around himself as well.
He never told anyone about the curse, he was afraid that if he did, he might pass it on to somebody else. But he wasn't very sure if it was real; for years he had always thought that it was just a nightmare. A dream, but little did he know it was consuming him, and his attitude around people.
Before school had started, his father was invited by Fudge to watch the quidditch game between Ireland and Bulgaria, which meant Draco and Narcissa are coming with them.
They first visited the tent sites of the audience, Lucius, being the occupied and busy father that he is, left his son for a little while to have an important conversation with the death eaters at somewhere private.
So, Draco decided to walk along the place, seeing everybody setting up their tents, when he was bumped into Cedric Diggory, the boy who Pansy fancied since 1st year. After all, he was really charming.
However, that's not all Draco saw.. Behind Cedric was Hermione Granger, with her hair tucked back in a messy curly ponytail, and her smile looked radiant enough for Draco that his lips almost curled into a smile.
She turned her head around to see Draco, who was just standing almost 10 feet away from her. She didn't smile, she didn't say hi. She furrowed her eyebrows and glared at him, then she went back inside the tent.
Oh yes, how could he forget? On their third year at hogwarts Draco requested to kill buckbeak. Unfortunately for him, he didn't get what he wanted; though he did get something from Hermione-- a slap.
Perhaps a slap so awakening as if the curse inside of him had vanished, to the point that his crush on Hermione Granger had grown back. Realizing that she was the only brave one to even stand up to Draco. He doesn't want to admit it, but as much as he hated her, he's also afraid of her. He was never afraid of girls. But Hermione was the exception.
Sadly, the curse wasn't lifted up from him that easily, though Draco's fighting, and trying his best to control himself and be the old Draco that used to be. It's a battle between him and the dark curse inside of his body, controlling him in any way possible.
