People who have a strong faith in destiny have their way in saying, "If it was meant to be, it will be" and perhaps it is true, or perhaps it's just something really poetic that makes everyone going; a motivation per se. When two people are in love and one puts their will on fate because of the saying, chances are they get the happy ending.
It was almost a year since the sort of 'friendly' date, when Hermione took her gryffindor courage to ask Draco out down at hogsmeade. From what seemed to be a casual dining in and heading back to the castle, the next few weeks after that had been inevitably romantic for the pair.
Their graduation day was the day it changed everything: a solemn kiss-- More so, a seal of approval, when she kissed him at the first floor corridor, the place where they used to sit when they were kids, both sharing their I love yous. And it was enticingly magical, just like their final steps as students around hogwarts before they head off to the big world.
This meant that Draco would have a big leap of change in his life from now on. Hermione was soon offered a job at the ministry of magic as part of the department of magical accidents and catastrophes, thus she had a place for her and Draco to finally live in a few years later, with the help of his finances too. Draco on the other hand, has already applied for a job at hogwarts to become a professor, but still, Cornelius Fudge has not yet approved of his entry as to the reasons that he was a death eater before.
"Where do you want the boxes?" Draco asked, with his wand pointing at the boxes floating around.
"You can put them next to the window, we should be having at least 13 of them here, right?" said Hermione, looking around quite stressed, massaging her temples at the process. "Right?" she repeated.
"Mione, can you.." Draco held down the boxes, hearing a slight shatter inside, but he didn't care. He headed straight to Hermione and cupped her cheeks, looking deeply into her eyes. "Please, don't stress yourself, all right? We'll sort this out sooner or later, okay?" he reassured, kissing her forehead right after.
"Thank you.. I just.. I'm just really awfully stressed about... well, everything, I guess." She chuckled. "First there's this really stressful thing at work-- I had to obliviate 10 muggle children that were traumatized by the accident, and--"
"Shhh, you saved the day, remember?"
"I could've saved their poor little lives," she pouted. "You did well enough. I'm proud of you" he smiled, so did Hermione, as he quickly grabbed her waist to lift her up and spin her until they both stumbled down the new, soft sofa, both giggling.
"Well... Tomorrow's New Years' Eve, what are our plans?" Hermione asked whilst Draco move strands of Hermione's hair. "Well, we could stay here and," he leans his face closer to hers as their nose touch.
"Oooorr, we could go visit the grimmauld place. That seems pretty fun, right?" she smiled. "Yeah, that could work too" he groaned.
"Oh come on, that's not that bad. It's been a while since we last visited."
"Shouldn't we be inviting them to our house? We've earned a lot for this. four years of living under a crappy rent-flat and now we're here.. In our own home" said Draco.
"We haven't even set up the place yet! Look at it! we just got here, don't expect them to come with wallpapers haven't glued on the wall" Hermione retorted, as he looked around the place. He sighed, and nodded. "Fine. We'll go tomorrow"
"Yay! thank you!" she kisses his cheek. "Maybe after we finish decorating the house, we could invite them over?"
"If they don't fuck up the house, I'd love to have them over"
