"Please, make it stop.. Make her stop" Draco cried in a mere whisper to his mother, his head resting on his mother's shoulders at the not-so-warm embrace. Narcissa carressed her son's back gently, trying her utmost best to comfort him.

"Shh, Bella will hear you--"

"I can't.. I can't take it anymore" Hermione screams intensifies, making Draco shiver at the painful sound in which he had wished the curse could've made him deaf. When he said he can't take it anymore, Narcissa was taken by surprise that Draco abruptly opens the door to go downstairs, but she pulled his arm back to stop him. "Draco. Please." Narcissa looked him in the eye. In those cloud grey sorrowful eyes.

"He'll kill us. He'll kill all of us." Narcissa warned in a rather low tone. But He turned around to see the light coming from downstairs, he could hear her muffling sounds, gasping and crying.

"What did she do to her?" He whispered, salty tears were still running down his cheek.

"I don't know--Draco, Draco!" She whispered louder, watching his son lose all control of himself and walked back down to see Ron and Harry were attacking. He of course had to defend.

He didn't want to hurt Harry, or Ron. Just for the sake of Hermione. But he has to.

"Stop!" Bellatrix shouted, Draco quickly snapped his head around to see Bellatrix threatening to slit Hermione's throat. His heart felt like it was about to drop. He was panting, and his eyes were prominently red and puffy.

"Drop your wands.." Bellatrix smiled. "I said drop them!" and so they did.

"Pick up their wands, Draco" said Bellatrix, and even he was stuttering, almost thinking twice about doing so, and pointing it at them.

Harry's hex had gone out, turning him back to his original state.

Bellatrix ordered Lucius to call the dark lord, Draco's heart started to race, trying his best to hold back the tears. He wanted to stop his father. If only he wasn't a coward. And then, they heard something squeaking from above. Their chandelier, dramatically dropping from the ground, Draco almost got Hermione-- Almost, when Ron had caught her just before the chandelier fell, but in result, shards of glass wounded Draco's knees.

Draco had a glimpse of Hermione with Ron, and without noticing, Harry went to abruptly steal his wand.

Bellatrix then threw the knife all the way to them, Draco couldn't help but to shout, "NO!" and the knife joined their apparition.

Narcissa and Bellatrix snapped their heads to him, His face looks so down and scared, even paler than before. He gulped and wiped his tears away, running back to his room.

That night when he couldn't sleep, visions of her and her screams were haunting him, He's cried enough until his eyes were dry. He was looking out in the window, moon glistening and he was wishing Hermione her safety.

Moments later, his mother came inside to comfort him with some soup. But he didn't even flinch. "I'm not hungry," said Draco in a very raspy voice, no trace of expression on his face whatsoever.

"You think you're not hungry," said Narcissa, holding the tray and sitting at the edge of his bed.

"Do you really want me to feed you like a baby, Draco?"

"I said I'm not hungry." said Draco plainly.

"Well, if you're not hungry, can we atleast talk about... the girl"

"She's probably dead, aunt Bella killed her" he sniffled.

"She's not dead, Draco--"

"Well how do you know?! Do you think it's easy for me?! to hear her screaming for help when I atleast had the chance to? Do you think it's easy for me to just watch her lying on our very home, when in fact I've always thought of taking her here for you to meet her?! I loved her! So much!" he snapped, tears started to jerk out his eyes once more at infuriated feeling.
