"Malfoy.. let me consume you.." said the whispers ringing in his ears.
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Draco cried out, he was standing in pitch black darkness, his wand wasn't in his pocket, and he couldn't do anything no matter how much he tried running or turning around the place. It was like a dark box, as if he was blind, and yet it was so cold.
He was being chased, and the temperature was his sign that someone was. He doesn't know who it was or what it is.
From his running, the cold air breezed upon him, strong enough to push him down. "Please..." he cried out. "Leave me alone" his breath hitched.
"The cursee..." it hissed. "the cursssse has been afflicted on you, Malfoy. For what you have seen the night before that should not be seen. I shall passss onto you" the voice echoed louder, saying that whatever Draco saw the night at the forbidden forest, the one that drank up all the unicorn blood, was passing its curse upon the young boy.
Draco screamed in terror, crying out and panting.
until he finally jumped up from his sleep, as if he felt like he was in a coma. He blinked and breathed heavily. But he knew something in him didn't feel very right. That all of the things he know and love, have become distorted through. It was confusing, but somehow in some way, his body felt heavy, like a black slug intertwining in his heart.
Just in time, Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle went to visit him at the hospital wing to give him dinner.
"Draco! you're finally awake! how are you, mate?" Blaise asked.
"fine" he said plainly.
"well, earlier we went to visit you to see if you were awake. Thought we'd give you breakfast" said Crabbe, smiling and holding a tray full of food. "But you already ate his breakfast before he could even open his eyes" Goyle rolled his eyes. "Anyway, what time are you gonna get discharged?"
"I don't know," he shrugged, no expression on Draco's face whatsoever.
"By the way, they tried reaching out to your father about your incident. He hasn't sent a mail back yet" said Blaise. "What? why not?"
"I don't know. But it's probably best you eat dinner first." said Blaise.
"I'm not hungry" Draco stood up from his bed, but the three stopped him.
"No-no, wait, where are you going?"
"I'm going back to the common room--"
"You're not discharged yet!"
"I'm not sick" said Draco, pushing the three away as he walks down like nothing has ever happened to him.
When he walked down the corridors, he saw Hermione from afar. But instead of smiling or waving at her, he took a deep breath, and walked right passed her like strangers do. Not a single expression was written on his face.
He kept on walking, ignoring everyone who was greeting him until he had finally came back to his bed.
When Snape had heard that Draco discharged himself, he went up to the slytherin common room to talk.
"Why did you do that?" Snape asked.
"Because I'm fine, Professor"
"Draco you had just passed out last night without any alarm, how can you say that you are fine?"
