Jason's P.O.V
"Oh come on Camilla, take a chance."
I look up at the table during dinner that night to see Jazzy with a playful grin on her face and Camilla with a glare on hers as she stared at her twin sister.
I look up at Avalanna and see her playing with her food with her fork and making airplane noises.
Just like every night.
After the first four times, I guess I had finally had enough so I had told her to stop messing around with her food and just eat it..
I had ended up apologizing over and over and holding her to me after she thought I was mad at her.
I also spent that night on the couch.
"Okay, there's a hidden meaning in there somewhere and I think you guys must think I'm stupid or something, but I'll figure it out sooner or later." I point at them with my fork before going back to eating.
"Hey, if I can eat all of my chicken, can I get a snake?" Jr looks up at me.
"I'll tell you what, you eat all of those peas and get seconds, I'll get you two snakes." I chew my food as I stare at him.
"J-Jay Jay! N-no snakes, remember?" Ava looks up at me with wide eyes.
"No daddy!" Melissa's big hazel eyes meet mine and showed me she was scared.
"You heard her Jazzy, no snakes. Get out." Camilla laughs as Jazzy glared at her.
I motion Ava and Melissa to just calm down and watch as we all look at Jr now.
He makes a disgusted face down at his peas.
"You know what? I didn't really want a snake anyways." He scraped his peas to the side.
I smirk and look over at Ava with an I-told-you-so look.
She rolls her eyes but goes back to playing with her food.
"What about you Soldier? How was your day?" I ask my youngest child.
He shrugged and I notice he didn't really eat anything off of his plate, just like always he never ate anything and I wouldn't let him leave until he cleared it but it was still a huge process we had to go through. Every. Single. Day.
"How was practice?" I ask him.
He shrugged again.
"What's wrong? Did-" he cuts me off.
"Can I go to my room?"
I furrow my eyebrows and set my fork down and lean back in my chair as I stare at him.
"Why? Something happened at school or what?" I continue to ask him.
"No- I.. can I please just go to my room? I have homework." He gets up from his chair.
"Sure," I mutter as we all watch him go up to his room silently after he put his plate away.
