Chapter 25

Jason's P.O.V

"Why are you here? You have no relation to him whatsoever." I grit through my teeth.

"Avalanna missed a call and she was extremely busy on set so she didn't know how she'd be able to get here in time with Melissa. So I offered to come get him and bring him to her." He shrugged as if it were no big deal and was in fact the most common thing in the world.

I squint my eyes at him.

"You're with Avalanna right now?" I whisper.

"No..... She's at work." He says as if I'm stupid.

"That's what I meant dumbass." I snapped.

His eyes widen and he takes a step forward.

"Who are you calling a dumbass? If anyone here is the dumbass it's you! Didn't you lose your whole family? Weren't you the one who drove them away? Why? Didn't you cheat? Man, you don't deserve Avalanna or those kids. You were just the best of a bad situation and now that she's over you, she'll never come back to you." He smirked lightly.

I glance at my son through the corner of my eye and watch him witness the whole scene in front of him.

I focus all my attention back the jerk in front of me.

"Alright you obviously don't know who I am so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. But I'm gonna say a couple of things and you're gonna listen and accept them alright?" I let out lowly and take a small step towards him.

I point at Jr.

"That is my son. No one else's but mine and Avalanna's. There's no trace of you anywhere in him so don't go around acting like his father because he already has one. And don't ever disrespect me like that again especially with my boy sitting right there. And stop fucking cussing around him too. The only reason I didn't beat your ass already is because I'm trying to be a better role model for my kids but if you test me one more time I can just make him leave the room." I was in his face now, not caring about the small height difference in which he was taller than me.

He glared at me.

"You can exit the room now." I don't break eye contact as I take a step to the side to reveal the door behind me.

"Avalanna asked me to get Jr." He didn't move.

"I'll take him. Get out." I nod at the door.

After a couple of intense seconds of us staring each other down he nods at Jr before pushing past me on his way out.

I try to slow my breathing down and rub my hands down my face once before looking at Jr.

"Lets go."

"So you're just not gonna talk to me?"

Me and Jr had been riding in my truck for the past ten minutes and he still hasn't said a single word to me.

He stayed silent.

"So what's your mom gonna say when she finds out you've been in another fight? You know how heartbroken she's gonna be man?" I ask him.
