Jason's P.O.V

An hour and a half later we were finally at the field Melissa would be playing on.

And I was exhausted.

As we all climb out of the car, I make my way towards the trunk along with Avalanna to get the lawn chairs.

I hand Jr his blue one and Xander his red one before grabbing Melissa's bright green one and giving it to her as well.

Camilla gets her purple one and a grey one for Chance while Jazzy gets her baby blue one and a black one for Gavin.

I sighed as I grab Avalanna's pink one and give her a cheeky smile as I hand it to her.

"Thank you Jay Jay," she giggles as I pull it away from her last minute.

"I don't think I've gotten my good morning kiss yet my queen." I smirk down at her.

She narrows her eyes at me.

"I's recall." She goes to walk off before I bring her back to me.

"Nice try babe, gimme a kiss already, I'm getting impatient." I chuckle as she smiled brightly up at me before getting on her tippy toes to place a kiss to my lips.

"Thank you very much." I mumble against her lips.

"You's welcome very much." She says as she grabs her chair from my hands and makes her way towards the field with the rest of the kids.

Chance's P.O.V

"Sit down man." I tap Deejays back as he loses himself in watching all the kids warming up for the soccer game.

He looks at me and I pull him in by his shirt before picking him up and setting him on my lap.

"You tired?" I ask him.

He shakes his head.

"Good." I nod before bringing his head into my chest gently.

"Why ain't you tired?" I ask him quietly.

He takes a breath before reciting what I taught him at a young age, "The Devil whispered in my ear, 'you're not strong enough to withstand the storm.'" He takes another breath before finishing off. "Today I whispered in the Devil's ear, 'I am the storm.'"
