Avalanna's P.O.V

"Umm.. get phone call. Ava-Ava gets p-phone call that says- umm- that says jay jay- jay jay very very sick. Jay jay.. umm..." I trailed off and scratch at the back of my hands as I stand at the front desk of the hospital Jason was at.

"Jason McCann?" Jr speaks up for me and held my hand in his comfortably although I pull away at the feeling of his skin touching mine.

"Are you his wife and kids?" The lady asks and looks over us as if she was determining if we fit the description of being his family.

"Yeah, that's our dad." Jazzy speaks up impatiently. "Where is he? What's wrong with him? Is he gonna be okay?" She's asking all the questions we all want the answers to.

The lady just gives us a sympathetic look and shakes her head lightly.

"He's located on the fourth floor, room 438B." Is all she says before letting me sign in and pointing us towards the elevators.

We get to the doors and step inside when they open and Camilla presses the number four button which takes us to the floor Jason was on.

When we do get there however, we are told to wait in the separate waiting room until a doctor comes out to tell us about his condition and if or when we'll be able to see him.

About thirty minutes later, a doctor finally shows up.

Looking up at him through my really puffy and swollen eyes from crying, I can tell that the news I'll be receiving isn't good news at all.

"Mrs. McCann?" He asks. I nod up at him slowly.

He sighs and squats down in front of me since I was still sitting in the chair and he was at eye level with me.

"Your husband was in a very bad car accident Avalanna, he should've have even made it through." He starts off quietly but it's enough to make a sob escape my lips and my body to shake.

"I-I... Jay Jay hurt because- because of me! I's never forgive him! He hurt and it all Ava f-fault!" I sobbed to him.

He shakes his head and grabs my arms tightly her gently into his hands and looked me in my eyes.

"Ava, this is not your fault at all, you understand me? Jason was under the influence of something he shouldn't have been taking and he was hit by a drunk driver. Don't blame yourself for this, alright? Now Jason is in critical condition but he will pull through, it's just gonna take some time for him to be the Jason you knew and loved and you're going to have to be patient. Can you do that for me?" He asks me.

I just shrug and sniffle and wipe my nose with my sleeve.

"Hey," he lightly taps my shoulder.

My eyes meet his green ones.

"Can you do that for yourself? Can you do that for your kids?"

I look up at my three oldest kids. Xander and Melissa were with Rachael and didn't really know what was going on right now or where we were.

They had all fallen asleep, but their faces showed their true emotions.

I then look bad at the doctor and nod.

He smiled lightly. "That's good. Let me know if you need anything, alright? Even if it's just someone to talk to. My wife makes excellent chocolate chip muffins that could help any bad day get just a little bit better, I can ask her to make some and bring them to you and your family tomorrow all nice, warm, and fresh. Does that sound good?" He asks.
